“Have fun and enjoy natural beauty”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

Utica zoo is quite small but the fresh air and native trees smell wonderful. The hilly trail is great both for viewing African animals and wolves and for stretching your muscles.
Most of the animals seem happy in their enclosures and the entrance fee is very modest. Drop by for a pleasant morning or afternoon.

“Amazing views and fun trails”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

My extended family of 13 enjoyed over 2 hours exploring the zoo! We enjoyed the trails behind the lions to see the white foxes, an amazing white peacock with its feathers opened, and many other animals. The zoo is making many renovations of new exhibits.

“Great Family Attraction”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

The Utica Zoo is a great location for year round family enjoyment. With many exhibits recently acquired or rehabilitated, the zoo has seen a rebirth in the past few years. Sporting big attractions like lions and seals as well as numerous smaller animals, you can easily spend a whole day before you see it all. Make sure you check out the wilderness trail at the top of the hill. It affords not only a great view of the city below, but also a chance to see many animals like wolves in their native environments.

“Shut down this place!”
Reviewed 26 March 2014 via mobile

On some days when we went there we just walked right in no one there to take our money sadly enough the animals all look terrible. Poor health for them and there habitats. Tney gave away alot of animals to other zoos or they died.
This place is terrible please shut it down

“We love it!”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

We own a family membership and love going to the zoo. It is not the best zoo compared to some but its small and nice and my 3yr old loves it. We especially love going in the winter. My daughter loves getting in her snow stuff and walking through the snow to see the animals. They are are very energentic in the winter. Winter is the main time to see the wolves up close. In the summer they are sleeping in the back. The lions love the snow as well and are playing in it each time we go. I think its a wonderful zoo and love that its not so big and packed that it takes forever to walk around or too crowded!
