“Trulli Scrumptious holiday”

We've just returned from two glorious weeks at Trulli Sant'Oronzo and we're dreaming of being poolside once more! What a wonderful place to stay. A home from home but with gorgeous weather. The photos we'd seen just didn't do this place justice. The accommodation is really spacious and well thought out. The additional living area across the courtyard was perfect for our teenage daughter and the outdoor dining area was the best place to shelter from the midday sun, or in our case, a couple of dramatic storms!

Piero was the perfect host and greeted us with wine, fresh focaccia from the local bakery and figs from his own tree. His tips for restaurants were excellent - we'll need to return in order to try them all out.

Would highly recommend this trulli to anyone and will return next time in September so that we can enjoy the pomegranates, more figs and the abundance of stone fruit growing on the property. A trulli scrumptious holiday!

“Beautiful Trulli!”

We stayed here with our two boys and has a wonderful time. The outside pool and dining area are fantastic and inside the Trulli is lovely too and very nicely furnished. Although we like to go out and explore the local area on holiday, some days we simply didn't want to leave the Trulli as it was so lovely and peaceful and we happily whiled away our time swimming and relaxing around the house. The local area is great too though - especially enjoyed visiting the local towns and villages in the evening as the sun was setting.

Piero and his Father looked after us week - the fresh figs and focaccia on arrival were simply lovely and the owners were very helpful with all our questions and gave good recommendations for things to do in the local area.

In short, a simply wonderful place to stay and we were very lucky to find it! Hopefully we will return one day!

“Perfection in Puglia”

We have just spent two fabulous weeks in Puglia and with the help of Piero discovered fascinating places to visit and delightful places to eat. We just couldn't see all there was to see in the two weeks we were there. That's when we could force ourselves away from the Trulli which we just loved. It's a magical place to stay and we just did not want to leave. The Trulli is surrounded by dry stone walls making it very private and secure. There is ample space to find your favourite spot to unwind and relax, whether you prefer lounging in the sun or under the shade of the olive tree. There are fruit trees in the grounds, lemon, pear, apricot, pomegranate and of course olive trees. It's idyllic. From the terrace above the separate building you can see the glorious olive groves and sea in the distance. My son took his running gear and we were amazed how making joggers and cyclists you see around the country roads. Within 5 minutes drive from the Trulli there is the most amazing bakery and you can easily drive to the beach. Piero is on hand to answer any questions you have and you genuinely feel as though you have a family friend who is there when you need them. When we arrived Piero's parents were there to greet us and show us round our new home and there was a tray of goodies, focaccia, fruit and a bottle of wine. Part way through the holiday the Trulli was cleaned, towels, bedding etc changed and Piero left us a bowl of figs picked from his garden. Everything you could need is in the Trulli, it is home from home. Puglia is a fantastic area to visit. It is so different to the rest of Italy, so unspoilt, you feel as though you are experiencing the genuine Italy and not somewhere that has been contrived for tourists. It's fabulous in every way!

“A Very Special Place”
Reviewed 20 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We have just returned from our second visit to Trulli Sant' Oronzo and once again have enjoyed every minute of it.

The trulli is gorgeous, beautifully styled inside with a lovely relaxing outdoor seating area, and of course a fabulous pool! It is set in a beautiful, peaceful location among ancient olive groves, with hills on one side and the coast on the other. The family who own it are warm and friendly and make you feel very welcome, and the local focaccia, wine and enormous bowl of cherries that were waitng for us were very much appreciated after a long journey.

We were on holiday with our two children aged 5 and 8 who were incredibly excited about coming back here again. There is lots here for families, plenty of places to visit, a gorgeous coastline and fabulous food all on your doorstep. The pool was incredibly popular with the children as was lizard and gecko watching in the garden, many a happy hour was spent by 'gecko gate' waiting for them to pop their heads out. When we could drag them away from the trulli we would often visit a recently opened lido called Marza situated on the way into Monopoli. It is a tiny cove surrounded by lovely gardens, perfect for the children as the water is warm and very shallow and perfect for us for an early evening glass of Prosecco.

Our ten days there ended all too soon and we were all sad to leave as this really is a very special place. The children have already started asking when we can go back again, as have I!

“Trulli Truly Excellent !!”

First time visitors to Puglia , we booked Trulli Sant'Oronzo for 10 nights as a base to explore the region. The Trulli is excellent - totally refurbished, nicely furnished, very well equipped and spotless. Location wise the trulli is some 45-60mins from Bari airport and close to Monopoli - I would say a good base from which to explore, with Lecce approx 90mins in the opposite direction. Piero, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with - great speedy communications and an excellent booking process, through rentalsystems.com, which made the process all very transparent and protected. There were only 2 of us but the trulli can comfortably accommodate 6. Everything we needed was available and of a very good standard - from the clean linen and towels to the cutlery and glassware. Piero supplies a great list of instructions for the accommodation and recommendations on things to do, places to visit and restaurants of varying levels. The trulli is surrounded by olive groves on all sides, very peaceful but no more than 4km from the nearest restaurants/bakery/takeaway (think you can just about takeaway any meal from Panificio L'Assunta which all tasted homemade). All in all we had a great and relaxing visit, felt very at home in the trulli and would not hesitate in recommending the property.

We stayed here with our 2 kids, 12 and 15. The trulli was fabulous. Immaculately clean and very spacious. It was very well equipped and the owners had pretty much thought of everything their guests may or may not need. The grounds were very well attended and the pool and eating area was beautifully kept. A car is essential! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or even return. Wonderful!

My family stayed at Trulli Sant'Oronzo and we really loved it... The accommodation is stylishly attractive, we had air conditioning at night, so slept very well in our comfortable beds. The outside eating area was a lovely place to spend time and of course we loved the pool. The Trulli is surrounded by an old stone wall.It is very peaceful and this particularly attractive area has some of Italy's oldest olive trees ... up to a 1000 years old. You can drive down to the nearby coast through these. We visited some wonderful old towns and ate some delicious meals, washed down with great wine. Piero gave us some excellent recommendations and couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. A really great find in a fascinating part of Italy.
