Drove 5 hours and found the hotel to be much larger than expected. Rooms are nice. Beds very comfortable. Restaurants were varied and food excellent. Really enjoyed the steak house on the 21st floor and great bar area, also outside patio with a view.
The pool area needs something. 25 people and it's crowded. A few umbrella's would be nice. One pool is packed with kids and noisy. The outside patio is tough on your feet and is more like a walkway with a 7 foot wall to look at. Tear that down and open it up to the nice patio on the other side of the wall and open the outside bar area. There is a great area on the other side of this wall that is underutilized.
The other pay pool $10 per person is stuffy with poor ventilation and no outside access. No kids and very, very quiet. I feel asleep. Water warm so get right in.
The casino was not very giving so don't expect to ever get ahead. The slots have a weak payout. You'll have to put up with cigarette smokers in the casino area and some restaurants. Good ventilation in these areas but a lot of smokers are slobs and can't seen to find a ashtray. I am surprised in this day and age smoking is even allowed in so many areas. Hotel tower is smoke free. Cigars should be band. Saw too many people that parked themselves at a machine and no play or they were napping/resting.

Room Tip: Stay in tower upper floors. 8th or higher. There are only about 8 rooms on a floor in tower.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed so many aspects of our resort and we hope to see you again soon!

P.S. We know that the layout of Tower floors does boast an intimate feel, however they actually average 20 rooms per floor!

I was at this hotel / casino for a bachelor party, and while the facilities were adequate, everything was markedly over-priced. The rooms were nice enough, and comfortable, albeit small for the price tag. Beverages were at a premium, and the meal we had in the 21st floor steak house was unfortunately not worthy of its final tab. The food was ok, but they were charging Ruth Chris prices, and not delivering that level of meal. The balcony area associated with the steak house was very nice.

We stayed in the Tower for a wedding. No fridge in room, they don't want you bringing any of your own drinks in. I prefer their campground. Rooms were comfortable but expensive for a bed. We didn't have enough time to use any of the amenities. We checked in at 3 and out by 10. Short stay for a lot of money.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We definitely recognize that everyone has different needs when it comes to travel arrangements. For a furture stay, we do offer two more economical options: The Inn at Turning Stone and the RV Park at Turning Stone. While both are located within a mile from the resort, we do offer a complimentary shuttle service.
We hope you will consider these options for a future stay!

This is the first time we've stayed in the tower. The room was great - clean and quiet. Check in was very aggravating. First of all, although check-in is 3 PM, they don't actually "guarantee" a room until 6 PM. We waited in line at the check-in desk for probably 15 minutes. Not horrible, but since there were 2 people visible behind the counter who were not assisting people it was a little annoying. It was 2:30, so it was not a surprise that our room wasn't ready. The clerk checked us in and told us it would be no longer than 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. We went our way and came back at 4 PM - an hour and half after check in to once again wait in line to be told it STILL wasn't ready. When I finally asked the clerk if there weren't ANY rooms like we had requested ready, she managed to find one. Really? Why would they assign a specific room if there were others available?

We attended a concert in the Event Center and stayed overnight in the Towers. It was very convenient since in was in the same 'wing' of the Casino property. Fortunately I read the many tips left on TripAdvisor so I knew to ask for a corner room. We were fortunate enough to get one. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean except for the grout that could have been kept up a little better. We ate in the Upstate Grill which was great. It was a memorable event and a good time was had by all.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room...they have a great view and are roomy.

Turning Stone resort offers three great golf courses, two of them are among top 100 courses you can play. We stayed here during our golf trip, it is very convenient with bag drop at the hotel and transportation of clubs to all three courses in time to practice. Very convenient for golfers. Nice dining options, a casino and a spa right in the resort. Certainly recommend it for a buddies golf trip from NY metro, it is a terrific deal.
