My husband and I came to Audrey's to celebrate his birthday and wanted to bring our dog with us.
I had read reviews about this place and was looking forward to arriving and getting a break from the city.
We arrived Friday evening just in time for sunset and our dog to run around the property. The property is quite large it can really wear your dog out. There was a note to check in and directions to our room. Only one couple staying had arrived but they had went out for dinner so my husband and I had the place to ourselves for the evening. We brought our own food and used the charcoal grill, had a lovely dinner outside watching the sunset. I was in heaven!
Sat we woke up early most of the couples are up at 7am with the dogs running around outside. Coffee and cake is served at around 730am and a hearty breakfast is served at 930am. Emma the manager who is nothing BUT wonderful checked up on during breakfast, advised us on where to go and what to do and see if we needed anything. If I was to run a bed and breakfast I would definitely have her running it she takes really good care of the guests. We decided to spend the morning at the pool which is nice doggies are allowed on the deck not in the pool. We then went wine tasting in the region which they also allow dogs. Definitely stop by Baldwin Vineyard they allowed our dog on leash inside and had the best dessert wines to taste. Emma had made a reservation for us Lombardi's italian restaurant which was also friendly and good, they allowed us to sit outside with our dog and provided her a bowl of water.
Normally its so stressful to travel and leave our pets at home, but I have never been away and been able to take our dog with us EVERYWHERE. Everyone was kind and friendly and she never left our side even when we went out to eat.
The room we had booked was the cathedral, I wanted to get the suite but it was all booked up. However we felt out of all the rooms the Cathedral was the most private, there is a staircase by the front entrance leading up to the room and it was large with a large bed and another twin bed for a guest or child to sleep on. If you have a hard time walking up and down stairs do not book this room as it can be quite steep.
We did get a chance to meet Audrey and Don the owners who were also friendly and happy to meet their guests.
We are already looking forward to booking during orchard season in the fall, can't wait to go back!
