playground for the kids,,,, a lovely lodge and cabins for large gatherings, even a church from long time ago. Staff are friendly folks - you cannot ask for much more but the river views are spectacular

We've taken a bunch of classes with Dave and he is the best! Bowdoin has really changed over the years and now offers Nerf Wars, archery, nature lessons, outdoor skills and map reading classes. Check out their calender or call to organize one.

I've been visiting here for 40+years, first with my children and then with my grandchildren. I don't know what to say about a county park. The park is on the banks of the Hudson, which is an exceptional view. The park equipment is NEW and state of the art for FREE children's apparatus including FREE water spray capability. There are free barbecue facilities and, when in session, free wildlife museum access. This is a must do if you are in the area and looking to amuse fr FREE !!

Bowdoin is really a great park! There's so much you can see and do here and it is always well taken care of. I have been to Bowdoin for:
- school events
- parties/bbqs
- Girl Scout events
- fundraisers
- picnics
- walks
- hiking
-weddings
The playground is huge and is always a hit with kids of all ages. The newer sprinkler area is great for the warm days (although the bathrooms aren't the best for changing).
The picnic areas fill up quick on busy days so get there early if you have your heart set on getting a table and grill. Otherwise there's plenty of space to set up some camp chairs and/or picnic blankets.
The pavilions are all great for whatever you could possibly want to do, but the reservations for them typically book well over a year in advance for popular dates.
The hiking trails are all well maintained and all of the park grounds have really great views of the area, train tracks, and the river.

Went to an office outing there. Location is very pastoral, relaxing. Well maintained. Great for family reunions, group outings, Sunday picnics.
