“Awesome Adventure!”

Wild Waters Outdoor Center
Reviewed 27 July 2014 via mobile

Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the Sacandaga River. Most of us were first timers, including my 9 year old son. So this was a good first time trip. We loved our guide, Collin. He was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back!

We did a one day rafting trip on the Hudson River. It is about a 40 minute ride from the center to the put in point and 20minute ride back at the end. The rapids are mainly 2s and 3s with one 4. The rafts appeared to be well maintained and the guides were very good. Our guide, Liam, was not only good at handling the raft but also very knowledgeable about the area. We were served lunch along the trip and then an excellent pasta al fredo dinner at the center upon our return. The white water was lots of fun with enough excitement without being too hairy. I highly recommend the trip. We also found staying a Glen Lodge to be very convenient for the rafting. It is attached to the Center and is owned by the same people.

Top notch from start to finish! Smooth check in , solid explanation of the day. We were assigned our guide, cannot say enough about Logan! Great guy, lots of info, gave good directions and got us though it all. He did this all without making us feel like idiots, gave help when we needed and encouraged us all the way. The company is only as strong as their guides I believe. This one and the company is amazing. The whole trip , was a great memory. Thanks Wild Waters!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to write such a nice review. We are very lucky to have Logan as one of our guides. He has excellent rafting skills and is great at making his guest fell at home in the raft. I am glad your experience was great and we look forward to seeing you up here on the Hudson again.

It was my first white water rafting experience and I enjoyed it a lot! We did the 3.5 miles Sacandaga River Trip which was perfect for first timers. "T", our guide, was entertaining and we also learned a lot about the area from him. He made sure that everyone stayed safe while enjoying the thrill of the rapids. We will definitely be coming back to do the 17 mile Hudson River Rafting Trip!

Thanks for writing such a nice review. The Sacandaga River is a fun trip for our first time rafters. It sounds like "T" did a great job guiding the raft and sharing information about this beautiful area. Just let us know when you are ready to tackle the big trip on the Hudson. You can request "T" as your guide there if you would like.
