Glen Lodge is a large log building which accommodates 7 guest rooms as well as a whitewater rafting business and store. It's very relaxed and different from a typical bed and breakfast - it's kid-friendly, and the breakfast is buffet-style (and very hearty). It attracts a more outdoorsy crowd of rafters and kayakers. It's roughly 20 minutes into Lake George, so it's close enough to do attractions and restaurants, but far enough away for just enjoying the peace and quiet of the Adirondacks. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed it.

We were six couples on a motorcycle trip. I found the Glen Lodge on the internet read all the great reviews and totally agree that this place is AWESOME! We all had our own rooms with private baths. The breakfasts were amazing and we did the 15 mile rafting trip down the Hudson River which was awesome! Lunch on the river was included with our stay as well as a home cooked dinner on our return! The great room and back deck was very cozy for our group to gather and enjoy. There is quiet time 10:00pm to 7:00am and no televisions in the quest rooms for those of you who need television to go to sleep this may be a concern, however, not for us. We cannot wait to go back! Thanks Doug for a great weekend!

Very relaxed, country setting but rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean. The hosts are very friendly and happy to help you with tour and dinner suggestions. Hearty breakfasts are served buffet-style and include different styles of pancakes or french toast, bacon and sausage, eggs, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. Coffee/tea and fresh-baked cookies are available all day! The great room (has the inn's only TV) and the front and rear porch are great places to hang out and have a glass of wine (the inn has a corkscrew and wine glasses!).

We just returned from a weekend at The Glen Lodge. It's a bit different, in that you don't pick out your room, as the rooms are all similar and prices are the same. The floor that has the rooms is set up like a hotel floor, and I believe there are 8 rooms. The dining area has several tables and breakfast is served buffet style.

We were looking for a relaxing weekend away and we found that and more. From the moment we stepped into this B&B, the inn keeper Aimie made us feel so welcome. Her home is beautiful and has a great room and game room with comfy chairs, plenty of games and books, and an incredible back porch with Adirondack furniture, which turned out to be one of our favorite places to sit and relax. We came back to the most delicious home baked and still warm cookies one afternoon, and there was always cold water available and hot water with an assortment of teas. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon each day. Since it was buffet style you couldn't possibly go away hungry. Our room was beautifully decorated and gave us the feeling of being in a cabin somewhere in the woods. The bathroom was stocked with all the amenities, and there were chocolates left for us each day. The rooms do not have televisions in them which might be a drawback if you are accustomed to the hotel style stay, but if you are looking for a relaxing weekend in nature it could be considered a plus as it forces you to unwind and relax. There is a television available in the great room for those who want it. I also love that they have quiet hours between 11 and 7 for the comfort of all guests, and there are reminders posted. It was definitely quiet during those hours and we slept really well.

This B&B is close enough to Lake George that we went into the village every day, and also close enough to the Adirondack Museum in the other direction. We never got to meet Doug, but Aimee was always available with dinner or activity suggestions. She was most helpful, and yet we were given plenty of privacy. In fact, they have two sons who were barely seen or heard, and when we did happen to see them were most polite. The lodge is also spotlessly clean and the owners make every effort to preserve the environment and live as green as possible.

This was a lucky find, and we most definitely would return to the Glen Lodge. We may even try the white water rafting that is also on the premises on our next visit.

This is our second time staying at the glen lodge with our family and friends. Doug and aimee and their boys take wonderful care of the lodge. They are a wonderful family who takes pride in their lodge and in caring for their guests. All the rooms are clean, friendly , with comfortable beds. There are small , homey touches throughout the lodge, like chocolates in the bedrroms, rustic furniture. The great room is amazingly warm and cheerful. There were 16 of us, and we all fit comfortably. Aj the chef is great. He is accomodating, making vegetarian food items and gluten free snacks. We will be back next year.

We loved staying at The Glen Lodge and would highly recommend it, especially for people who prefer a laid back setting. It's not fancy like some B&B's which was fine with us. The great room was a nice, comfy spot to gather with other family members who traveled with us. The owners are very friendly, easy going and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious! My only suggestion would be to spruce up the outside a little bit. If you walk around the grounds, it was a little junky looking. Otherwise, A++

My son and I just enjoyed a very lovely weekend in the Adirondacks where we stayed at The Glenn Lodge. Doug and Aimee were warm, helpful hosts. Our room was spotless, extremely comfortable (especially the beds), with very nice amenities. The great room and game room were welcoming and comfortable and the breakfast, while not fancy, was fresh, delicious and a perfect start to a busy day. The location was perfect - between the garnet mines, white-water rafting and Lake George/Bolton Landing. We will definitely be returning.
