We stayed here while accompanying a relative who was to have surgery at St. Anthony Hospital. Upon arrival we paid in full for a two-night stay, for 2 rooms. We stayed here mid-week and breakfast was not included, so I can only wonder how they call themselves a B&B. There was no clock radio or alarm clock in the room, but the owner promised to show up early to wake us (so we could get to the hospital on time) and provide coffee. He never showed and there was no coffee. We were left alone in the building overnight, and they shut off all of the outside lights making getting to our car impossible. It was literally pitch black outside, and just plain scarey! We stayed in the biggest room, and our relative had an adjoining room. In neither one did the electric fireplace work. Lights from the hallway kept us awake most of the night. Window blinds and curtains did not function well or completely. There were no towel racks in our bathroom, and there was no closet in which to hang our clothes. Before heading to the hospital that morning we wanted to tell the owner that we were very unhappy and would not return for the second night, but there was no one there to tell! (He was supposed to be there at 7:00 am to give us a wake-up call, but by 8:15 he still wasn't there, and we needed to leave to be at the hospital at the appointed hour of 8:30 am). Later in the day we went back to tell them we would not return and wanted a refund for the second night, but they said we didn't give them enough notice!! The restaurant is reputed to be quite good, but since we were deprived of breakfast I cannot comment on that aspect. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I give this place NO stars.
