Felt like I was at "home" in this truly lovely bed and breakfast in Watermill in the Hamptons. Great place to stay, fantastic swimming pool, wide plank floors, great breakfast in the roomy kitchen ....house from 1600's, lovingly renovated, and a truly genial host in the innkeeper Nate. I recommend this inn whole-hearted lay. Take your bathing suit!

My girlfriends and I discovered this quaint B&B while on a girls trip in the Hamptons. The location is very close to great restaurants, wineries, and shopping in the area. Bridgehampton and Montauk were only a short drive away. There is also a pool on the property to enjoy. We all had a great time and will visit again soon!

Cute little B&B in a great location, close to lots of cute shops and great food! Short drive to Bridgehampton and Montauk. Definitely go to Estila's for brunch! Very helpful staff. Great pool!
Went for a girls trip and 4 of us shared 2 rooms, very cozy!

My girlfriends and I decided to take a girls trip to the Hamptons and we are so happy we found Hermosa Lodge. The property manager, Nate Barrett, is so polite and accommodating. We all felt right at home. Our rooms were great and the lodge is within minutes to great restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend staying at the Hermosa Lodge!!!

I visited Hermosa Lodge with a couple of friends in the early spring and a couple of weeks ago. My stay there was truly amazing and memorable. The atmosphere is relaxed, stylish and friendly. I definitely recommend staying at this place and believe that both the summer season and the rest of the year is appropriate for a visit. You can always combine enjoying yourself at the beautiful Hamptons with doing various things in the area. Bridgehampton and Sag Harbor are only a few miles away and offer a number of places to dine and enjoy your stay. You can always count on the innkeeper's advice on places to visit and things to do. If you prefer a more cozy and home-like environment you can always stay in the Lodge and relax- chill by the pool, enjoy one of the many books the owner provides for his guests, have a barbeque. I truly recommend this place as the perfect escape from the stress in the big city.

Spent two nights with my young children at Hermosa Lodge and we all enjoyed our stay. The inn's great location minutes from the beach and Bridgehampton, enabled us to enjoy many area attractions in a short period of time: gorgeous beach in Water Mill (parking only available to nearby residents - priceless!), the inn's pool, shopping, art museum, restaurants and relaxation. We found the staff to be genuinely welcoming and friendly (which isn't always the case when you have two kids in tow!). As previous reviewers have mentioned the inn's condition is not perfect - some minor cosmetic improvements would help with ambiance - and there is definitely a sense of shared space. But we found it to be a charming place and for us, a significantly better value than the nearby alternatives.

We spent three nights in the Cameron Suite ( two rooms with shared bath ) with another couple. We knew the bathroom was shared but the door wouldn't close properly and was basically a thin piece of wood just hanging in a tight doorway. You could see another person through the cracks if you were in there taking care of business. The curtain rod was flimsy and fell off, I suffered through a cold shower one morning. Extremely small.

The first bedroom ( library ) had a double bed and was very small. The other had a huge king and was much larger. We didn't know this going in despite a lengthy discussion with innkeeper about the arrangements. We had to flip for it which was a shame because we thought they both were at least queens, and roomier. The worst part was that our friends had to come through our room to reach the rest of the house. AWKWARD !!!!! Had we known this, we would have just booked two separate rooms with ensuite.

The house is very old and in desperate need of updating. And while quaint it really could use some TLC and proper restoration. We never could use the pool because it was ice cold. Why have it then ? Breakfast was simply store bought yogurt, pastry, fruit. We were offered eggs but really there was nothing that suggested a thoughtful breakfast.

The best part of this place was location. We were a couple of minutes from the Hampton Classic which we came to specifically see. And since there isn't much to choose from in the Hamptons, this is about as good as it gets.

Nate is a very nice guy, helpful and friendly but in true bachelor fashion the place is lacking a certain touch. It felt more like a shared house then an elegant B and B. Beach passes and bikes were certainly welcome.

Overall this is an average place that has tremendous potential. But when there is little choice what can you do ?
