once again my warmest thank you for your courtesy and the absolutely wonderful room with the exciting terasse.

we made holidays in egypt since 28 years but this was our best stay. the staff is very kind and absolutely helpful, the restaurant is very good and the guy who is responsible for the bread is a genius. we have very good bread in Austria, but he is the best. i hope, he stays for ever in your hotel.
congratulation!

The hotel has a very good beach probably the best in Soma bay. There is a house reef which is very easily accesible and nice enough.
The only problem with the beach is that people reseve places and never come. Hotel should have a policy for that.
Food is good enough, but very expensive (and it is a shame to ask people to pay for bottled water at dinner under HB plan especially considering tap water is not drinkable in Egypt).
Rooms are nice, but worn out and need a good refurbishment (even the club rooms that are supposed to be new). It is strange for a five star not to have a coffee machine?..
Housekeeping is nice, but not so great...
Reception team is especially wonderful: they go out of their way to please the customers!.. cannot say the same for the restaurant team.
Lastly evening entertainment was weak.
Overall not a real 5 star experience except for the beautiful beach...

Dear KenyaTraveller70,

Thank you very much for your recent stay at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay and for your time to write a review about your experience. We are happy to read that you enjoyed your time in general, especially the beach facilities and Reception Team. Your constructive feedback has been noted and will be discussed among the Executive Management. Regarding the beach situation we assume you are referring to the 1st row of sun beds- such topic has been addressed already and is currently being analysed.

The hotel is currently going through a phase of slowly getting upgraded as we constantly strive to enhance the experience of our guests. It would give us great pleasure of welcoming you back to our beautiful peninsula in the future and remain for now

with sunny regards from the Red Sea,

Our room faced the beach and was close to the pool. Cosy robes in a room always make me happy! The hotel was not at all crowded which meant there were always plenty of prime beach chairs available. Attendants quickly brought beach towels. Snorkelling was extra and well worth it. The buffet was excellent - best food we had in Egypt. After dinner dancing was fun. Aquafit at 11 am is not to be missed. Get up early to enjoy the sunrise and a long walk along the beach. Cocktails on the beach at sunset highly recommended.

Kempinski Soma Bay was recommended by a friend for our recent family holiday (senior people, kids, young couple).

I am glad we took this recommendation and booked our holidays at Kempinski Soma Bay.

Everything was perfect: room (enough space, elegant and clean), the housekeeping services were timely responding to all of our needs even late at night. They have even introduced some changes to the room facilities to accommodate our request.

Overall, the Staff was friendly, smiling and helpful.

We were on half board package and the open buffet for both breakfast and dinner were always higher than expectations, with new dishes introduced on a daily basis, in addition to the classic fish / meat grills, pasta, salad and ice cream bars.

I have to explicitly mention "Chef Islam" who was responsible for the fish gril bar during 3 out ot 4 dinners we had there (5th, 6th and 7th of November 2017). From day one, he picked up my special request of spices and made sure it was automatically available in the following days.

The coffee/bar was quite entertaining at night with the live music.

The kids were busy playing at Kids area, the pool and the beach. The Sailing club next door was also accessible, though eventually I couldn't sail because of the wind: not their fault :-)

We didn't have time to rent the bikes. But, I managed to use the Gym which was good enough.

As a conclusion: I strongly recommend this hotel for any type of vacations (couples/romance, family, senior people..etc).

Thank you Kempinski Soma Bay - goes to both the Management and the Staff.

We just spent a few days at the hotel for my wife birth day. The hotel landscape with the lagoons, palm trees, lighting at night is amazing by all means. The breakfast buffet is excellent, dinner is very good. The beach and the sea are perfect.

Our only annoyance we arrived on friday it was my wife's birthday, i tried to book in a different restaurant rather than the main restaurant but they were all closed and the told me they set up a special table for us and serve us a cake, although every body seems to remember I was reminded during the reservation that i have a booking at 7 and when i arrived to the restaurant my name was marked but nothing happened they sat us on the available table in the middle of the restaurant very noisy and they totally forgot about us.

In general the hotel is great we had a great time but some minor improvements in the staff would be great, the waiting staff is a bit over worked thus they are late in fulfilling your requests and you have to ask for the item a few times to get it even for simple stuff such as an extra fork. The mini bar was never restocked during our stay. These are minor things that you dont expect during your stay.

Dear Waelkhalifa,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for this special occasion and for taking the time to share your feedback.

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall and found our hotel excellent, which we will share with our team.

We deeply regret to hear about the mistake with your table arrangements, the shortfalls in the restaurant service and the refilling of the mini bar, we do apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured that this is not the normal standard we usually provide and your feedback has been addressed already to the responsible department heads to ensure this does not occur again in the future.

We hope that your overall positive memories will dominate and that you will visit us again so that we can serve you better next time.

Yours sincerely,
