“Tandoori experience”
Reviewed 24 July 2014 via mobile

Ok so first off the food is ok, not bad but not brilliant. Can't say much about the ambience because we were the only people in the whole restaurant. It might of been off season but you would still expect more clientele. What was good was the fact that the tandoori oven operator gave me a few lessons in how to use such an oven (I bought one in India some time back).

“Indian food like you like it!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

You can't go to Mauritius and not try the Indian cuisine. Le Tandoor is really authentic, with terrific flavours catering to all levels of 'heat'. Really nice team in charge and we will definitely go again if we visit Mauritius anytime soon.

“Small portions, no extras, sweet food”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Poor imitation of Indian food.

I live in South Africa (Durban) where there are some truly exceptional Indian restaurants. I am sure that I have eaten in over 20 different types of Indian restaurants - this restaurant has to rank as one of the worst that I have eaten at.

The portions were small and did not come with any accompaniments. Generally Indian meals are served with complimentary rice. Rice was an additional extra. The naan bread was dry. But the absolute worst was that the curries were sweet. I understand the catering of mild food for tourists. But normally, Indian restaurants give you options regarding the level of heat. There were no options - all curries were sweet.

The restaurant was empty (should have been an indication for us!) but the service was still poor. The price of meals were also high - so overall, a poor experience.

Give this restaurant a miss.

This guest did not read our menu before ordering , definitely there are foods which are sweet and may be ordered mild, medium or spicy . South African guest eat spicy food as in South Indian Dishes.our restaurant is a live cooking North Indian Cuisine. But this reviews shall be thoroughly investigated.
