Unbelievable experience as u get a roller coaster ride amongst the crystal clear....sparkling blue waters...8 km into the ocean, unlimited soft n hard drinks and food (though vegetarian was limited but good.) it was a sort of good luck (though earlier I thought opposite) that the sea was a bit rough that day due to strong wind and the cruise became all the thrill with adrenaline running inside and splashes outside! Total fun...we didn't enjoy the island though but cruise. Was awesome. Moreover Our cruise crew played guitar and the whole cruise danced to the tune. Must do.... Lazing on the net tied in front of cruise...wave splashes would provide natural back massage!

we travelled as a family group, chartered a catamaran and went out from the northern tip to an island about an hour away. On the way out the journey was exciting and we rode the waves. Some got sea sick. Once we reached the island, it was hot with no shelter available unless you pay for rental. The sand was hot and had plenty of broken corals - so made it difficult to walk on the beach and in the sea. After an hour or 2, we went back to the catamaran, had a BBQ lunch on board - that was nice, and headed back to the bay - this time the journey was for ever - as many were tired and it was hot and more people got sea sick. Overall the trip was fun but the ride was too long.
When sitting on the catamaran, the fun place would be the front end , but be warned of getting wet with the waves and the catamaran rides the waves. Also be warned of your expensive and sensitive cameras! Mine got wet with a wave

At first when I heard about the Catamaran cruise I wasn't too keen to go for the same but when my hubby insisted we both went for it!

It starts at 9 in the morning until 4 in the evening.

As we started, the crew which was very warm started explaining to us about the cruise as to where what is, and how we can access the washrooms etc.

We met this photographer who was a part of the crew working as a photographer on the cruise. We bargained with him and assigned him to take our candid shots while on cruise.

We were relaxed and enjoying our selves with unlimited alcohol and some music while the photographer was doing his job.

Catamaran cruise took us to Gabriel Island and the journey was one an half hour.

Once we reached near the island we went to the island through a jiggy which is a small tube like motor boat and I must say it was an amazing experience. We explored the island by ourself and got back to the cruise for some Barbeque and lunch. Though there was hardly anything for the veggies, I enjoyed the food with my favourite drink called the punch rum which is the local run with mixed fruit juice.

Post to the lunch we just got into our swim wear and jumped in the Indian Ocean. Swimming in the Indian Ocean was an experience by itself and that too with the fishes and snorkelling glares.

We didn't snorkel properly as we are not great swimmers and the wave currents were strong that day.

But the corals underneath were so clean and amazing.

I cannot describe the experience in words but all I can say it was an unforgettable one and a must do!

While going back we were sleeping on the net of the cruise under the sky again a marvellous time.

This cruise is not like the one at Dubai or Goa so please don't miss this at Mauritius.!
