The bad....Stayed 3 nights early august, head office made a mistake and advised there were special baby facilities in a special room, upon arrival we were told it was a mistake no such facilities. Room was very old and looked dirty with stains on furniture, sofa. Cot was very old , tallish with no sides that come down, a thin old mattress at bottom. Physically impossible to,safely put a six month old on the mattress. We requested to leave and were moved to a better room, and a kind staff member added another cot mattress and cushions to make the cot usable. We looked at the hotel facilities and decided to stay.
Despite telling the kitchen staff about the baby needs upon arrival and morning and evening they couldn't get it right.one evening we had runny polenta presented as mixed vegetable purée..despite apologies and promises ...despite telling them exactly what to do it just didn't work. Also no steriliser in room, you have to give them bottles to microwave in kitchen.
Good gym sauna hammam
Good food in buffets
Supermarkets within walking distance to stock up on drinking water and alcohol, much cheaper than hotel prices, they don't supply any complimentary water in rooms.
Don't expect staff to be smiling and greeting you like in most hotels in Mauritius, however when approached they go the extra mile to try to help.
Nice little stretch of beach in front of hotel, la cuvette public beach few minutes walk along beach to right side.
Nice pools .
Overall good value for money, but you may strugglers travelling with a baby.
