The (South African) fillet steak was recommended in a guidebook, and I can happily confirm that it was absolutely fantastic! My wife went for the Entrecote which was equally good. My younger son was persuaded to have the ribs, which were almost the same size as him! Thanks to a doggybag we all had some for lunch the next day and I can confirm they were very good as well.
I tend not to eat steak unless I know it to be extremely good, either at home or when out to dinner, but I'm going to have to seek out a UK importer of SA beef if it means I could eat fillet like that again...
Although the place wasn't busy (it was July after all), the owner makes the atmosphere as he is very friendly.
Strongly recommended for families as they do small dishes too!
