We spent 2 weeks in Kempinski hotel and we were very happy to deal with such professional persons like Dulce and Ella from front desk, Daniel, Lindo, Sandy and Chef Fonseca from the restaurants. They are one of the most professional persons that we have ever met and we have been traveling to many places. Generally the food is very, very good and they are opened to listen to your opinion, suggestions and moreover, they do their best to please you. The room is very tidy and cosy, the relaxing area is also very inviting, only the activities section needs improvement.

Many thanks to the above mentioned persons for making our stay in Seychelles a truly relaxing and unforgetable one!

first class service from the moment you drive. the place is expensive but you get every bit of what you pay for. there is no "nightlife" at the resort but i'm sure you can arrange to go in to town. i would definitely recommend the island tours and the snorkeling expeditions both of which i arranged through the resort. Definitely the best property on the island. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Seychelles and since it was a last minute booking we did not have much expectations when it came to the hotel. The only expectation was that it was a Kempinski brand of hotel and so felt they would hold up to the reputation their brand of hotel is known for. They did not disappoint and we really enjoyed our five day stay.

The hotel is nestled in between mountains on either side with a nice beach on one of the opening end and this gave it a very private and secluded feel, a perfect getaway! With such a setup, it was surprising to find that there were no trekking options or exploring the lush green forest that surrounded the hotel as part of the their outdoor activities. This could have added variety to the outdoor activities and not make it all about the sea. Similarly at night there wasn't much lighting around for a late night stroll under the starlit sky but this could also explain why there were not much of insects buzzing around for a property with a lot of greenery around. This is just an observation and nothing more.

We had an idea of how the room would be from their website and was happy to find it much better in real and well spaced with a really comfortable bed. Being vegetarians and part of the minority we expected food to be an area of concern but Chef Rakesh and Rocky were helpful on that front and dished out vegetarian specials through out our stay and so a big thank you to them both. The service was top notch and i could safely say that it was good value for money. As long as they can maintain this, we wouldn't hesitate going back there again.

Well Done!!

We stayed in the Seychelles for three nights at the Kempinski. The resort is quite divine. There are several different beach areas to lounge in, complete with lounge chairs and towels. The property is very well tended to and there are beautiful flowers and grounds. Our room was actually much larger than I was expecting and had plenty of room for us as well as our things and lots of room to unpack. There was even enough room to roll out my yoga mat and do my morning practice. A great perk in this particular hotel is that your mini bar is stocked and everything in it is free! (At least the first round of items). This was a really nice touch, especially since it's so hot on the island.

The food was also excellent, make sure you get breakfast included in your room if possible. The staff was super warm, welcoming and always available for anything at all (including fixing our iPhone dock, bringing us ice, etc. etc.). We also had a private tour of the wine cellar and growing wine collection by the lovely sommelier in the restaurant who told us lots of great stories. I had lost an earring and they even spent hours looking for it with a metal detector, after we left! That's some service right there.

My SOLE gripe was the cost of anything outside of our room rate (oh and the mosquitos but I guess those are to be expected). It cost about 600 rupees (eg: $50) for one tiger prawn! I know that this is an island economy and a fancy resort but having traveled to many islands (including Bora Bora, land of the infamous $25 sandwich and $5 soda), I had never quite seen sticker shock like this... especially when dealing with what should be local seafood. You can eat at any number of good, local restaurants but bear in mind, if you are taking a taxi (which I would recommend since the roads are very windy and dark), it will cost anywhere from $40-80 to go 20-30 minutes. And that's after you have negotiated a better rate with one driver. Ouch!
