We stayed at the sunset beach hotel for our honeymoon in Apr 2013. We asked for a room with a view and some privacy and this was provided. We had a wonderful sunset view every evening from our terrace. The rooms were of a high standard and very clean, the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and I was delighted to find a birthday cake in my room after a day out on my birthday. The food was very good, lots of variety and of a high standard. The best part however is the beach, it has pristine white sands, in a beautiful secluded location, we never failed to find a nice spot to enjoy it. Just a short swim from the beach is a small spot of coral, just under the restaurant where you could see a variety of fish, either with a snorkel or by sitting in the restaurant looking down. We enjoyed my birthday dinner watching 6 sting rays waiting for us to throw scraps into the water below us. A truly magical holiday, we will be back as soon as we can.

More than a hotel and amazingly friendly staff, Sunset offers an miraculous and dreamy journey into relaxation and exotic romance. The amazingly blue sea in which indeed the sun sets those many beautiful nights, the wonderful and fresh food, the marvellous and unrushed service and finally the whole setting of a little paradise on earth that is called Seychelles. During my short stay I learned a little bit about the main island and its people and it tastes like more. A recommendation to all spoiled travellers. Service was sublime, the hotel staff and management most accomodating, friendly and relaxed. I will certainly go back!

Room Tip: you can't go wrong with a room overlooking the ocean!

We we upgraded from a 2 star hotel from the same group, so we definitely liked it a lot.
Beautiful, clean, nice beach, friendly and very helpful personnel (our flight was very late at night and we were allowed to have a late check out with no additional charges). The bus stop ( 3 buses) is just 2 minutes away (was important for us as we decided not to rent a car). Breakfast was good with fresh, exotic for us, fruits. Food at the restaurant was very delicious and reasonably priced for a Mahe 4 stars hotel. To sum up we love evrything about it, but not sure would decided a stay there for a full price.

Our third hotel during 2week stay on Seychelles, this was a big disappointment.
Their taxi driver of hotel choice has a back problem so you have to load your bags yourself in the car. Upon arrival (peak season) the safe, telephone were not working. Cigarette buts all over the small terrace/lawn. A missing bed towel for our third family member. No water pressure in the shower. All reported to the reception, nothing was fixed. I had to approach the gardener myself to fix the lawn, take the towel myself from reception, load our stuff in the hotel main safe. Service in the restaurant is slower than watching grass grow. The tv picture is as sharp as mudded water. Half of the main building is used as some kind of messed warehouse, a sad look.

Other than that it is a nice location with great sea views, nice little beach and nice rooms. Food falls from the restaurant into the water so it keeps a band of fishes close to the resort, offering snorkling. During January, it was very windy, too violent for kids to swim.

If it cost 100 eur per night, I could take it, but at their rates it is just ridicoulously low value for money.

My girlfriend and i recently had the pleasure to visit the hotel establishment through a wedding which was organized there. The place is a magnificent place to be with the settings - bar and restaurant overlooking the beach. We were amazed by the nice ambiance and set up ideal for honeymooners and indeed a distinct place of hide away for a couple. We enjoyed the nice buffet being offered of which depicted the exquisite creole cuisine with the sound of creole music playing.
We were quite amazed by the service being offered by the charming and friendly local staff.
Situated on the northern side of Mahe makes it an ideal place to witness the wonderful scenery of the sunset hence why the name of the hotel. This place is surely a place in paradise to be and one which is certainly a place we will remember.

My husband and I stayed here for five nights. We were very impressed by the very fun and friendly staff, beautiful environment, the design of the hotel and its interior and decoration. We found the open air restaurant and sunken bar area wonderful and comfortable. The breakfast buffe a delight with plenty of choices. A huge bonus was also the cute beach with good snorkelling just down a set of stairs.
