This is not a large metropolitan zoo by any means, but it is rare in that it has only animals that are, or once were native to the region. I've seen plenty of Asian tigers and monkeys and such in zoos, so it was refreshing to meet some different critters. I like that people can learn about the interesting wildlife that is in their own backyards. How cool is it to stand next to a real wolf and share the walking path with an Eastern turkey?!

We've been a few times and have never had to deal with a crowd. Easy walking, plenty of shade in summer, and up close to the animals. Often, some of the animals are not awake, but that's true anywhere. Our highlight was the day that we saw the wolverine and fishers out and about.

Great time, loved the north country animals. Our young daughters were able to learn what animals are native to our area/state. The animals were out and easy to see. The butterfly garden was really nice. Thy also have the BEST playground in the park adjoining the zoo. My kids had a lot of fun!

This zoo and park is a very nice visit. It is the right size and a family will enjoy this gem. There are hard surface paths to walk and jog. Nice view of Watertown from this location. The small city of Watertown is another story. Not pleased with this run down metropolis. Needs help in a variety of ways.

The zoo is very clean and had lynx, puma, wolves, wolverines, bald eagles, otters, and moose among its animals. It also has a butterfly house. We had a lovely visit.

Small zoo, the best was the baby black bear. Our kids spent an hour at that section. Park needs a facelift with more animals and attractions.
