“Great fresh salads and juices”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

Try a passion fruit and lime juice! I've been here on a couple different visits, and prefer the salad to the wraps, which are wrapped in chapatis (always a bit oily) and therefore cut down on the "fresh" feeling. Cute little place, too expensive for Tanzanian food, but such is life in Stone Town, and the food is high quality. Do be prepared for a bit of a wait. Highly recommended!

“Delightful smoothies and lovely fresh salads”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

This is a tiny place but certainly worth a visit for lunch or brunch. The ginger smoothie was absolutely delightful, and the calamari salad extremely fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced; the menu has a fair amount of choice, and I actually wish I'd had time to visit again. Service was a little slow, but I presume this was because everything is prepared freshly to order - and anyway, I wasn't in any hurry to leave!

“lonnnnnnng wait for food”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

we ate here twice - the shakes and juices are outrageously good. the food so so yummy
BUT both times we had to wait 40-60 minutes for the food. Is it worth the wait if arent starved, yes. But we had a 6 year old with us who was getting really squirrely the longer we waited. Go early... before you are too hungry and enjoy yourselves

“Fabulous food, sensational juices”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

With only 5 tables in a small room it does not have a lot of atmosphere but it makes up for that with great food & juices.
Yes the service is slow because everything is done fresh. Ask for your own juice blend & they can probably oblige -- it will come with an icy centre which keeps it cold for a long time.
Salads are crispy fresh.

“Gem of Stonetown”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

This is a true gem of Stonetown, their ethos seems to be simple, fresh and delicious. It's a wee place, only 7-8 tables and there was a steady stream of customers whilst we were there. I cannot recommend this place enough and wish we had found it earlier in our stay in Stonetown. They are open for lunch and dinner and I would have happily eaten here twice a day for the three days we were there. The menu was large enough to give you choice but small enough so that you knew thought went behind the dishes. I had an amazing beef burger and iced coffee with local spices, whilst my husband had a South African speciality called chow which was also super tasty. I highly recommend you seek out this wee place as it was the most unique place we have come across in Tanzania with a real focus on fresh and tasty food.
The service can be a bit slow as all made fresh in a small kitchen, so order yourself one of their delicious drinks sit back and relax.
