Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay in May. Had the itinerary allowed it we would definitely have stayed longer. We had the Virunga Suite, which was very nice and very clean. Separate bedroom with comfy king size bed and large bathroom, plus bonus living room area with separate entrance to garden. The room was decorated with wood carvings and masks.
Staff were extremely friendly. Nice bar/lounge area with a large wood burning fireplace that was fired up in the evening. There was also free use of their computer. We had the buffet dinner which was delicious, breakfast was equally delicious with lots of choices and they packed up a decent lunch to take with us.
The wood carvings and masks are also for sale and there seemed to be some very unique pieces to choose from. Great being in walking distance to the Town of Kisoro, which made for a fun afternoon poking around the many local shops.
The gardens are beautiful with sitting areas scattered around, which was great for relaxing. They also offered massages, for a modest price.
Very nice cozy, friendly resort that we would return to and highly recommend for a stay in Kisoro.More
