We contacted this KOA on the Thursday before our stay to find out if we could pay using a check. We were told that would be fine. Upon arrival, my husband was treated very rudely by one of the employees when he tried to pay by check. He told her he had already called to check, and was told "No Checks". The employees didn't even tell him where the nearest ATM was.
We also had a bad experience with the swimming pool. You must fill
out a disclaimer before your children are given wristbands to be allowed access to the pool. We brought our wristbands with us because there was only 45 min. left until the pool closed. The woman over the intercom was very rude about the fact that our children did not have them on. (That's fine--rules are rules, but we could have been politely told!) The pool closed 10 min. early that night. (My husband noted that the pool was cloudy, and there were band aids all over the deck of the pool!)
While we picked our site because of its "proximity" to the pool, and it was right across from it--the area it was in looked like a big parking lot. I actually thought it was an overflow area. It also says on our receipt that our site had WiFi--not exactly true...We were given coupons with codes to use for up to 2 hours that only worked in a very small area--not even near our site.
Our children joked that "they must not like children". Not exactly
the feeling we expected to receive from a KOA.
