David Dead Sea Resort & Spa
Ranked #9 of 17 Hotels in Ein Bokek
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Our group on pilgrimage to the Holy Land stayed for just one night but all of us wished we stayed at David Dead Sea Resort and Spa longer. The panoramic views of the dead sea and mountain was simply amazing. The selection of food in the buffet was extraordinary. The service is superb, from the reception to transportation; room amenities was great!

Room Tip: Rooms at the 17th floor to see the panoramic views of the mountain and dead sea.

I was for a congress a year ago at the Meridien Ein bokek Dead See and was so desapointed.
This time the owner change the new hotel name is David and what a changement !!
The hotel is clean; being renovated with top service and food at breakfeast and dinner; The pool normal water and the pool spa see water are cleaned and well kept. It is a different world. I needed to say it because I hope that the management and the staff will continue in this way.
I will bn definitely come back.
Patrick

The room & location are good the service is lacking. We came here to see la traviata opera hope this leaves a better taste than the hotel has offered us. Make sure to check the beach front this is defiantly the best thing this place has on offer. Hope you have a great time I'm the holy land.

I stayed in the hotel on a company trip for two days and one night in May, 2014.
The hotel is very clean and spacious. The rooms were very impressive – mine had a balcony and lovely view. The bed was big and pretty comfortable.
The restroom was very big; there was a shower and bath, both quite big. No problems with water pressure and temperature.
The only minor downside regarding rooms was that there was limited lighting that was pretty dark – obviously not an issue at daytime, but it is at nighttime.
We had three meals at the hotel: breakfast, lunch and dinner. All were extremely varied – I believe there were even desserts for every meal. All fruit and vegetables were fresh. Unfortunately most of the cooked food (meat, stews etc.) were a bit too oily for me, but other than that pretty nice (and as I mentioned before: extremely varied).
The hotel is located a really short walk from the Dead Sea, there is a shuttle bus that takes you directly to the beach but one could easily walk there.
The pools are clean and big.
Overall, very pleased from my stay at the hotel.

The truth is that this hotel deserves a better review, however, there are a few things that hinder a very good review. Starting with the positives: Very nice layout , large lobby and very nice general facilities. Pools are lovely and very large. Spa is pretty good. The dining facilities are very nice, big and comfortable. The room ( superior) was fairly large with a big size bathroom. So why the review? Well, the room we stayed in had mould and a few holes in the ceiling of the shower . The room had signs of cracks and mould on the joint wall of the bathroom. Little things which annoy: no tissues in the room. Real basic. One of the lamps in the room didn't work. The phone unplugged ( ?!?!) Food was good and so was the service. It's a pitty that small things change one's impression of what could have been a great experience.

Room Tip: Choose a high room and facing the pool for the view of the dead sea. Great.

This was my second visit to the Dead Sea for my Psoriasis. I was with a UK groups for a two week stay. I have moderate to severe Psoriasis and a fair complexion. This time I treated sunbathing as a job taking at least 3 hours a day and up to 6 by the end. My skin after two weeks is almost (99 % clear) I started with about 25% coverage. It is a bit boring but worth it. Using the solarium every day.

The hotel has improved since last year. I was in a premium room on 16th floor. Very clean and spacious. I also had access to the business lounge, which was excellent as I got drinks (alcohol and soft) without paying and there was food available all day. It made the experience better. Service is still awful but that is the management not caring. The young staff were helpful as they could be.

If you want a good bar go to the Lot hotel.

Food is good but boring after a week. There is a McDonald's in the shopping centre and a steak restaurant in the Isoratel.

I wouldn't come here if I didn't want to treat my skin. But the results were excellent.
