“Stay away”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

This restaurant is the biggest disappointment of our vacation in the Dead Sea.
We arrived to an almost empty restaurant and we were sited near the kitchen. There was a plate on the grill which burned and once in a while a terrible smell came to our area.

It took forever until the waiters came to serve us. The menu is very limited and a lot of the dishes were not available.

We ordered 2 starters and got 2 more for free, but it felt like they throw it away unless the serve it and we were the last guests that night. One of the recommended salad was only sliced tomato and onion, really, nothing else was there.

The french fries came out cold and the steak was awful! It was way overcooked, low quality and dry. When I told the waiter that my steak is not good he said there are no more entrecôte steaks but they can cut the rib eye and serve me an entrecôte, but assuming it will take them too long and after the bad experience with the rest of the dishes I didn't want it.

We asked for jar of water and they said they can pour us the water but cannot let us have the jar on the table. This is very odd in Israeli restaurants.

The prices of the dishes was too high. I've been to more expensive restaurants but they all had a better quality food and better service.

At the end of the meal they served us the bill without us asking for it and before we had the chance to asked for a desert.

In short, DO NOT GO THERE!

“Don't go there!”
Reviewed 22 February 2014 via mobile

The only good thing to say about our experience in this restaurant was that our waiter was very nice and tried his best , but-
We were waiting too long a time before anybody came to serve us and after Being served some water it took them too much time to take our orders.
Half of the dishes on the menu were not available. They forgot to serve the wine, the steak we wanted medium came out dry and burned. People came to wash their hands behind our back( no bathroom available)
Need more? They actually started rushing us out without asking us if we would like any coffee or desert...
The price, however, was very high...

“Top Quality Steak”
Reviewed 3 October 2013 via mobile

Dining in a refined atmosphere with professional service and calm background music that actually allows conversation is somewhat of a rarity in Israel. But the Ranch House offers that - as well as exceptionally high quality beef that was perfectly cooked, served with crisp fries and tasty spinach. The portions were large and my guess is that it would be impossible to walk out of this place hungry. The wine selection seems to be well chosen and fairly well priced for a high end restaurant. The Ranch House IS DEFINITELY OPEN and is highly recommended.
