Authentic and fantastic. Great atmosphere and a great location. Class A service and presentation. Slightly overpriced but not enough to keep you away from fine dining China style!

“High quality and delicious”

Dined at Peacock while staying at the Radisson Blu. Service is highly attentive and the portions are filling. It's a fine dining establishment with prices to match.

“Peacock fan tail of Eastern savours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2014 via mobile

My beef in black pepper sauce was as good as it once was before the invasion of 2/8/1990, thank you Peacock! When the hotel refurbishment was still under full swing, this fetish meal was on the room service menu at Hashemi Residences and I got worried as it deteriorated. All worries vanished after the eponymous restaurant re-opened its doors with a brand new Radisson Blu last September. Only bemol : make sure you book at least a couple of days in advance for dinners as this is again one of the places to be in Kuwait!

“Back in full swing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

well, it took some time to get this Hotel revamped, but things take time in Kuwait. It was well worth the wait, because the Peacock is back in business - and it is fully booked, so we had to wait a little bit to get a table in the evening.
Warm Cashew nuts to dip in sauces was a first for me - and I loved it. Steady flow of tea - not really my thing, but it was nice.
The menu is great and we did have a good choice to select from, the soups were great, I did go for the duck, not cheap, but beautifully cooked, sooo tender, jet crisp on the outside. Very nice. We had another duck - there are two on the menu - and sweet and sour chicken. Very nicely presented. The sweets were a little bit of a let down - the fruit could have been a little bit more ripe for better flavor - and it looked like there were not really any 'Chinese' sweets on the trolley. Finished off our two hour experience with a nice coffee.
The staff is very good in serving you and it is one of the places in Kuwait where you can go for a meal and they don't pull your plates away from you when you are still chewing the last mouth full. According to our friend with us it might be a good idea to change the map of China in the menu to a more 'accurate' one, Taiwan is arguably not China, apparently Mongolia however seems to be correct - but who would notice this in Kuwait anyway.
Brilliant evening to be repeated soon.
