Very good, excellent.
You have to climb up some steps.
But you arrive on the top of the hill!
I mean: The top!!!!

Room Tip: Only good rooms of different luxury and price

Pousada Colibri is definately a place you must see while visting Morro Island. The hospitality of the family run Pousada is very unique. We enjoyed the close by sea, taking swims in the natural pools and also in the pousada pool with very very good water quality. The view from the poolside is breathtaking!if you stay around you can find thousands of small colibri birds. The name of the pousada fits into the place.Thank you for the memorable stay!

Warning - 105 steps leading up to Pousada (highest Pousada in town). But worth every step. Owner helpful during booking process - booked catamaran from Salvador, helped with flights and offered help in potentially difficult situation. Set in beautiful and peaceful environment with stunning view overlooking sea. Breakfast average and look out for monkeys at 6am (although we weren't lucky enough to see them)! Overall, excellent value for money and recommended.
Go the the Love beach and walk left to the pink ,ad and cool bar, is less busy then going to the 1st 2nd and rd beach. we loved it there

This pousada, a 5 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the center of Morro Sao Paulo, is well worth the 80-some stairs you'll have to climb to get there.
You will find simple but nice and very clean accommodations, nice pool with a spectacular view of the ocean, all that nestled in luscious gardens. Add a generous breakfast that changes every morning and you've got it all.

By the way, if you think it's too far from the first-second and third beach, it's right up another very worthwhile beach and the mud-bath beach.

Happy holidays in Morro !

We have had a more than terrific stay at pousada Colibri! The location is marvellous, on top of a hill with a seaview. Away from the very touristy center of Morro, but close enough to the beaches and restaurants. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast one of the best we've had during our stay in Brasil. Definitely would recommend this pousada to everybody! And the steps are really not that bad, the reward is the breathtaking view from the hill. A beautiful swimming pool as well! Thank you Helmut and Marga, we will be back one day!

The owners are VERY NICE people who will make sure you have a very pleasant stay. The place is gorgeous, the rooms are very nice, clean, great bathrooms with 24/7 hot water. The pool is very nice and warm. The mini bar has the same prices as the local supermarkets. During breakfast and during the evening you will be visited by a local family of beautiful little monkeys and you will have the opportunity to feed them with bananas, a great experience. You have to walk 155 steps to get there, but after a day or two you get use to it... it's a good exercise! The advantage is that you are at walking distance of the center of the town and beaches, but without the noise, so you really rest. HIGHLY recommended!!!

Room Tip: Any room would be great.

Yes, you do have to walk up a hill to get to the pousada, but the hill's not that big, and the view is worth it. When we arrived Marga took the time to talk to us about everything on the island. Helmut is like clockwork and very reliable. Between the two of them they arranged a last minute tour for us (we asked at 8:15am to get on a 9am tour, and they had the boat swing by and pick us up from the nearest dock) and contacted an airline about airfare. The room was nice, with a wonderful view. The breakfasts were plentiful and good. The location of the pousada is a question of taste. It is a simple 5 minute walk from the main plaza of Morro, but it is in the opposite direction of the night-time "action". If you are 21 years old and want to party, don't stay at this pousada. But if you want a place that is quiet and peaceful (but still close to the action) then this is your place. I would definitely stay here again. Unless you are too young or too lazy to walk up a hill you'll love it.

Room Tip: We stayed on an upper floor room which (1) had a great view, (2) more privacy, and (3) two hammocks...
