“Beautiful place!”
Reviewed 13 February 2014 via mobile

The pousada is cozy, clean, bedrooms are of good size, with a balcony having view to the pool and the sea (make sure you ask for that cause I don't know if every room has it). The breakfast is amazing!!! The location is also great, you can walk basically everywhere and there are many good restaurants around. The hotel helped us finding and booking the boat to morro and everything went fine.
Ahh.. and the sunset, how to forget it? The most beautiful ever!
Couldn't have a better time!

We booked a five nights stay at this pousada for our wedding anniversary and stayed in the Master Suite.

Having been in Brazil several times and travelling with a Brazilian, this Pousada had the worst service we experienced in Brazil. If the price wasn't that high, I would rate the pousada in general very good. But when you pay 3 to 4 times more than at other pousadas on the island, you do expect to get a good service.

I'll explain in 6 steps our experiences about the following categories: 1: pousada 2: pool 3: beach 4: rooms 5: breakfast 6: service
1: Pousada
The Pousada is situated on the side of the hill facing the tourist ferry terminal, which makes its location a rather noisy one. From the boat terminal, you walk up the hill and take the first hill at the top to your left and you will find Pousada Passárgada, next to the medical emergency post.
The location in front of the harbor has as consequence that you will have to deal with boats honking their horns and loud music playing there every day, all day, starting as early as 6 O’clock in the morning.
2: Pool
The Pool is the greatest thing this Pousada has to offer! It is just beautiful and offers a great view of the bay and the boat terminal. It is a perfect place to watch the sun set.
3: Beach
The Pousada itself is situated far away from the beaches of the island. You will have to walk about 15 to 20 minutes through the village to get to the beaches. If you want to be close to any of the beaches, this Pousada might not be the right choice for you.
The beaches itself are beautiful depending on the time of day and the tides of the sea. When the tide is low, the beaches look rocky and muddy. When the tide comes up, you will find yourself in the postcard picture beaches.
4: Room
We booked the Master Suite
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Cleanliness is another thing. We had big black caterpillars and sometimes black cockroaches in our bathroom.
5: Breakfast
The breakfast was ok, but mostly consisted of leftovers from the previous days. Another thing we did not like about the breakfast was that it was only served from 8 till 10 am.
If you would arrive at 9 they would not bring fresh foods anymore, so get there early.
Flies and bugs are another problem at the breakfast.
6: Service
Service is just bad. For Europeans and Americans this might be a shock. For the standard in the state of Bahia it is considered normal. Service in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo state is a lot better.

Room Tip: All the rooms will experience the noise from the harbour, so just request one with a great view and...

just returned from Brazil and spent two nights in Pousada Passargada. I wish we had more time. It is in the best location. Just top of the harbour where the boats from Salvador arrive. So no need for a taxi ( a strong man with a wheelbarrow!!). We stayed in a master suit and it was worth the extra. The room was huge, massive bathroom and a balcony with a hammock and most amazing view. We slept with the doors open to the sound of the ocean. The breakfast is the best as they cook all their pastries, cakes and bread in house by lovely ladies. Always smiling.

and the infinity swimming pool is the best part of the pousada. Great for a drink and sunset watching!!

Best sunset hotel in Morro, pool area is top and totally worth spending an afternoon by the pool! Room was comfortable and clean but they have to change the lighting - the room has the same light as you would find in an industrial factory hall (cold white light). Overall very friendly and convenient and would always stay there again if you need to be close to the centre/port.

The locations is one of the good things about this bed & breakfast. You are very close to the small downtown and have many restaurant options nearby. The sunset is incredible and ou have the view everyday. Try to get an apartment in front of the sea and you guarantee the sunset just for you. The swimming pool has a great landscape and you will find terrific to use it during the sunset.
The prices of drinking is fair and you will not feel bad when asking for your third caipirinha. At night, the place is silent and you can sleep well.

The location is just perfect. Very close to the arrival dock and the view is just AMAZING! I have never seen a better pool, with an incomparable view and layout! It is close to the main area of Morro and also close to the beaches. Breakfast was perfect and many options! Our room was beautiful and very well kept (we stayed in room 4). Met the owner who is also very nice. I think the only negative are the front desk staff, they could be a little more pleasant and helpful! But overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

Overall this is a nice pousada. The location may not be for everyone, but for me it was perfect. It's one of the first pousadas you come to from the dock when you arrive in Morro, so if you pack light, you won't need to hire one of the "taxis" (wheelbarrows). A short walk to the main square and street with restaurants, but away from the hustle and bustle (relative for Morro :).

We stayed in the Suite Luxo by the pool. It has an excellent view from a spacious varanda with hammock and a little table and 2 chairs. It is, however, essentially an extension of the pool deck, so if anyone is at the pool there isn't a whole lot of privacy.

Breakfast for me was just average. Your standard Brazilian pousada selection of bread, cheese, fruit, and sweets. There are standard rooms, but going up to Luxo is probably worth it--the standard rooms look pretty dark. There is free Wi-Fi, but it's very slow.

Something else to keep in mind: if you visit Morro in the off season you'll get a cheaper deal on the room, but this is the time of the year when everyone does repair work. Not that you're going to want to spend a lot of time in your room, but in the off season it can rain quite a bit and we had a couple of unpleasant days with loud hammering and sawing starting early in the morning and stinky paint fumes wafting into the room.

Room Tip: Go for Luxo over Standard
