This restaurant is clearly a local steakhouse favorite. The night I was there, there were many large groups celebrating. The waiter was patient with my lack of Spanish and recommended a less expensive but better wine than I requested. The 200g filete (top loin) I ordered was perfectly cooked, ordered "a point" or med rare, and tasted great, and the fries were also wonderful if a bit too large a serving. The Chilean salad (tomatoes and onions) had little flavor - even though this is fall here, the tomatoes in the market are largely tasteless and this is what they had, as I expected. But as a solo traveler, I had an enjoyable dinner (steak, large fries and tomato salad and a half sized bottle of Cabernet) all for $25, including the customary 10% tip.
They offer some sort of mixed grills that were obviously popular with groups. They are served in towers of skewered meat that involves some sort of ceremonial service by the waiters. It looks like it would be fun for a group to order one of these and they seem to come in different sizes.
