During the Easter holiday we enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Corsica. Piana is a very beautiful and picturesque village, which is a must to visit. Just behind the church you will find a small restaurant “La Voûte” which has an amazing fish soup and which made the visit a memorable event. Not only is the food great but also the people are very friendly.

This was one of the best restaurants I ate in on Corsica. Brilliant food and excellent value. The fish menu of €20 was outstanding -lovely fresh prawns to start with ,then fresh bass and daurade ,beautifully grilled with scrumptious roast potatoes ,followed by some super cheese and a lovely dessert to finish -what more could you ask for !All washed down with some good, local wine .Super value ,but do book, very, very popular -and no wonder !

This restaurant is an experience. Do yourself a favour, go here, but make sure to book it in advance. It is very popular and it was full every night we spent in Piana. We saw many turned away. We took the same table on two nights and were seated outside on a small quiet village street facing the church. Children playing nearby and swallows flying overhead, smells of good cooking, quiet clinking of glasses and happy murmurs from the other diners are the golden memory we have of our visits here. The prawn starters were delicious, and the mains of locally sourced fish presented for selection then cooked and returned with flair were perfect. We ate from the set-menu the first night and went a la carte the second night which allows for a greater selection of the local fish. But on balance, if returning, we would take the menu both nights. It is very generous and simply too good to miss. The staff are great fun, and the general sense of well being that you get while eating and watching the world go by at La Voute is a tonic for the soul. So if you are in Piana, try this restaurant, I expect you will not regret it, but remember it's probably best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

We went to this place from the 165+ excellents this place got and to be hornets - it's not that good. The place is easy to find and the setting is very nice with a true local feel to it. The menu is what you can expect with a few things as todays catch that can be exciting. We had the set menus @ € 20, and the fish was disappointing, not beeing cooked in any special way - just a fish.

Good thing was that the very good tiramisu and a coffee was included, as well as the complimentary local liqure - a nice touch.

Kids menu was a ton of fries and a few dry chicken nuggets. Go for a regular dish for your child!

Service was relaxed, friendly and very informal for a French restaurant. Staff speaks a touch of English - be prepared for misunderstandings.

I would recommend this place for its genuine setting rather than beeing a top gourmet experience.
