Hotel "Bell Rock" Europa-Park

We spent 3 nights at the Bell Rock hotel, which is one of the hotels of Europa Park. A family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children (3, 6, 9, 11).

The hotel is located 300 meters from the Europa Park. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the park.
As a hotel guest you get VIP access to the park, which means you get there 30 minutes before the park opens to the public.
Note that hotel price does not include park tickets.

What I loved about this hotel is that everything is focused around children: there is a small play area in the hotel restaurant, there is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with hot water (32 degrees), every night there is a show at 21:30 (same show though), buffet food is excellent - every night we tried a different restaurant and everything we tries was very tasty.

I wish we could stay longer. Well, maybe next year we will meet again :-)

We only stayed for one night at this wonderful hotel as it was already fully booked for the next 3 weeks after we visited. I wish we could have stayed for longer as it was so nice.

The price for a family room including buffet breakfast for 4 was very reasonable and the room was big and spacious. The kids loved their boat themed beds and although we didnt have a view over the pool (which we were informed about when booking) this didn't matter. We also had free parking right outside the hotel for two days.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Even the air conditioning in the room was adjustable which I was very pleased about. If you stay at the Bell Rock you have a special hotel guest entrance to the Europa Park which is only about 300m away. Hotel guests can also get into the park 30mins before the general public to avoid long queues for the most popular rides. If you are visiting Europa Park then I highly recommend this hotel .

This hotel is fabulous! Decent price with fabulous rooms! This is a for house hotel with very courteous staff. I forgot to notify them of my other half a birthday but they noticed upon check in and left us champagne and a lovely fruit bowl with a happy birthday card and mug! Wonderful touch! The theme park also gives Disney a run for it's money! With food and drinks being a normal and not over priced! Absolutely 100% recommend this hotel and theme park to all my friends and family!

Just spent three nights at the bell rock in a superior room.

The hotel infrastructure in general is definately at 4*-level. What popped out for us was the nice in house dining, the great acoustic isolation in the rooms (never seen better) and the nice in- and outside atmosfere: although you're only a five minutes walk away from the park entrance, you're in an ocean of calm at the hotel grounds.

Our room had all the necessary amenities. The concept and layout was clearly well thought through.

Food in the hotel was OK. The buffet at the harbgourside restaurant was a bit plain to us. The Spirit of St. Louis bar on the other side was great, both for drinks as well as food.
We skipped the Captain's finest, prices were overrated for what was offered.

Great rooms, air conditioned, huge breakfast selection and great english speaking staff. Definitely pay the extra to have the extras offered by the Europa park hotels it is well worth it. We were originally staying in one of the outside hotels, Apollon Hotel, the service and amenities there were so bad we needed to change hotels. Thank goodness hotel Bell Rock exceeded our expectations and made the rest of our stay at Europa park enjoyable!

From the friendly, warm and welcoming check-in to the efficient, speedy and equally friendly check-out, our stay at the Bell Rock was absolutely perfect. This modern hotel is spotlessly clean and beautifully designed, both inside and out. We found the staff to be perfect on every level, easily switching to French or English when our rather limited German failed us. Other reviewers have mentioned coldness or even rudeness but we found nothing like that. Management can be proud of their employees who clearly enjoy their work.
We stayed in one of the themed suites and the room was ideal for us - plenty of space for a couple and two teenage daughters, comfortable beds, spacious and beautifully appointed bathroom with a great shower, a nice large desk for working at if needed, Nespresso coffee machine, etc. We never heard a single sound from any other rooms and the hotel's surroundings are very peaceful so we all had a great night's sleep.
Dinner at the hotel's Captain's Finest restaurant was excellent - beautifully cooked and presented food with plenty of flavour. The crab cakes were some of the best we've ever had and the burger was spectacular. It was a tad expensive but the quality was there.
The breakfast buffet seemed to have everything that anyone could possibly want to start the day, with everything fresh, beautifully presented and regularly restocked by the friendly and efficient staff.
The hotel pool is perfect for swimming laps - when it's not too busy. The setting is also very pleasant with plenty of sun loungers and a small bar.
The hotel gym, also open to the locals I believe, is absolutely huge with a terrific range of equipment, spacious locker room and great showers. We didn't have time to try the sauna.
As for the park itself, it's an absolute delight. Disneyland Paris is a joke compared to this place. Europa Park has it all right - great rides, reasonable lines that rarely exceed 20 minutes and are often a lot less (our longest wait was 50 minutes for the new Arthur ride that had opened a few days earlier), good, reasonably priced food at a huge number of different outlets and immaculately kept grounds. We'll definitely be back for more.
