Brochure is a little economic with its description. The extra 2 beds - hard sofa beds were not worth sleeping on the double bed was soft and very noisy ! if going ask for a room where you have sun on the veranda 50% will be in the shade. Note the number of swimmers in the cold pool in brochure. Pool next door is heated so suggest you pop over there. Spa is operated by a third party and a sauna will cost you 10 euros if club med it would be free! as would all your drinks. As there are 2 management teams excluding the 'spa' you will find a lack of warmth. With club med you feel part of the place for example you get a super welcome and a warm farewell with club med. Club Med team work together here at Mark Warner you feel separated depending on what activity you are doing. I did not like the coffee

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the sun. if you want a bath you will pay a lot lot more because you have to buy...

This was our second trip to Levante Beach. Having been last year when the resort was newly opened and enjoyed a good week including the tennis academy, we returned with a group of like-minded friends for the Intensive Tennis Week in late September.

Things got off to a quick start on the tennis courts shortly after arrival on the Saturday afternoon where we were given a warm welcome by Josh and his team. We were all quickly absorbed into the wider group who had booked for this specialist week and everybody got along famously, with evening social events woven seamlessly into the programme. There was plenty of coaching, social tennis and tournaments, as well as tipsy tennis and quizzes for all. The coaching team worked very well together and their energy was infectious.

There was free time in the middle hours of the day for those who wanted to sail or swim or simply take a walk into the nearby town. The sea was a lovely temperature, though the adult pool temperature was refreshing - it felt like a good temperature to swim in after a length or two.

Food in the taverna and the fusion restaurant was plentiful and filling and the evening buffets offered something for everyone.

Accommodation was very good and everywhere was very clean.

I would recommend this holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms in the hotel are good for those playing tennis or wanting to be close to the restaurant. For...

Arrived on 21st September for our 3rd Mark Warner holiday and looking forward to 2 weeks in their 5* resort.

Journey out from T5 was very smooth and arrived mid afternoon, unpacked and got the kids ready for their first dip in the pool. It didn't last long however as the pools where icy cold, even the kids pool at 40cm deep. They didn't warm up for the rest of the 2 weeks we were there and it was a rarity to see anyone in the main pool at all as it was so cold. This was a major disappointment as usually when the kids aren't in kids club they spend most of their time in the pool so entertaining them became an issue. Come on Mark Warner spend some of our £5k on pool heaters, particularly as the resort is open until early November, I dread to think what they'll be like by then, After a number of complaints from guests, the temperature of the indoor pool was cranked right up and we spent part of most afternoons in there, not really what we expected when we left home.

We then tried "one of the longest sandy beaches on the eastern coast of Rhodes" to keep the kids happy. Admittedly, it was long, "sandy" is pushing it a bit and it is not pleasant to walk on barefoot. It's very stony, particularly at the shore line and there's quite a lot of sharp debris (sticks etc) around. The shoreline slopes off quite quickly as well so was too deep for the kids to paddle in. There are a couple of wooden boardwalks installed but kids were picking up splinters from these. Hmm.....

The child care was up to the usual MW standards and the kids loved both their half day and evening sessions.

The watersports were well organised as usual, just double check your kit before you head out. On 2 seperate occasions, the catamarans I was given hadn't been rigged correctly and I ended up having to rectify the issues myself whilst bobbing about offshore.
I also enquired about certified diving options with the inhouse team but they were charging 95 Euros for a single dive off a nearby beach. Waterhoppers.com had bases in Lindos and Rhodes and charged 81 Euros for a 2 dive package including transfers to and from the hotel. They also visit a much wider range of sites for both boat and shore based diving so went with them instead.

Food: The food was pretty uninspiring, particularly given the 5* rating, there were themes each night but we struggled to distinguish between them.

There was a unpleasant bout of sickness and diahorrea going around for the full 2 weeks we were there which affected most parties we spoke to and also put quite a few of the staff out of action. Other than a couple of 'please wash your hand notices' posted in a couple of the toilets however there didn't seem to be any open acknowledgement of the problem which might have helped to nip it in the bud.

The resort itself was pleasant enough but a lacking in any character. There is a large half built hotel immediately adjacent to the main hotel block which is a bit of an eyesore.

One other point to note is that it is quite a trek from the hotel down to the beach, particular if you have little ones in tow.

Overall, we left feeling a bit disappointed with the trip and certainly didn't think it merited a " 5*" rating.

Room Tip: Bring a wetsuit for the swimming pools!

This was our first visit to Levante Beach, having visited other Mark Warner resorts previously. The waterfront facilities and windsurfing tuition were excellent. Tuition was in small groups and was well organised so that even if you were staying for a week you'd have a few days of your holiday remaining to put your new skills to practice. Those with a bit more experience were well catered for too with clinics in the afternoon when it got a bit windier. The equipment was in good condition, everyone seemed well qualified and were happy to give you pointers or rescue you. Max, George and Fiona on waterskiing were immensely helpful and made getting on the water at 8am a pleasure. The tennis facilities are great with racquets and balls readily available and free of charge. There are six courts and there was no problem booking.  Daily social tennis was well attended. There was a comprehensive fitness program catering for a range of abilities also.

BA flights and Mark Warner transfers were seamless. The hotel was well kept and the rooms were a good standard. The safe was iPad friendly and when it malfunctioned maintenance came and fixed it within 10 minutes. The glossy photos in the brochure accurately reflect the lovely views and facilities. The only negative would be that there is no wifi in the rooms. I would expect this in a five star resort. The wifi in reception was very hit or miss too. Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant were good. The food was kept hot and there was plenty of choice.

There are a few points that could be worked on for next year's season. There is very little to do in the evenings and Mark Warner definitely need to improve their evening entertainment for adults. Drinks on the resort are expensive and probably the reason why the resort empties out in the evenings.  There are plenty of attractive swimming pools and sun loungers but the pools were very cold and only for the brave. The sea was much warmer and pleasant for swimming though.

The resort  was only 1/3 full as it was off peak. This seemed about right and although I would go back I would definitely avoid the school holidays. Overall Levante is a well rounded resort providing a huge range of activities for  watersports lovers and land lovers alike.

Reading mostly positive reviews about this resort I was looking forward to the break
I was not disappointed last time travelled with BA to Turkey this time it was Jet2 from Manchester again not disappointed good journey, and by the way the comment below regarding crying children on flights this is a family orientated company what do you expect.
Manager Sue welcomes everyone on arrival with a welcome drink and slice of melon while you are being booked in and your bags are taken to your room and is seen daily walking around chatting with everyone
This is the second season for the resort and without repeating comments on excellent food, rooms and facilities etc below the only down side I had was price of drinks, beer was ok but my favourite tipple Mojito was 7 euros a time, never mind only once a year.
And perhaps a bit more evening entertainment for the future, although the Greek dancing on Sunday night was great fun with audience participation required.
Water front team were as usual fantastic and encourage everyone to have a go, never water skied before and within 5 min, I was on the rope being pulled across the bay, thanks to George and his team.
All the facilities are new and believe the resort will only grow over the coming years we will definitely return in a couple of years as next year were off to Lemnos
Apart from the excellent Mark Warner staff a mention needs to go out to the hotel staff who can't do enough to help you, always having time to speak to you.
Would definitely recommend this resort to everyone book it now :)

Being Mark Warner virgins and not having been on a ‘package’ holiday in many years my husband and I, with our 6 year old son have recently returned from two weeks at Levante Beach.

If, like us, you are worried about being with so many other people (and British people at that) and, lets face it, the expense of the holiday, do not be deterred. It is the best holiday as a family we have ever had. Sue and her Mark Warner team were exceptional. They approached everything with such a great attitude and bent over backwards to be helpful. The hotel staff were mostly Greek and were both charming and efficient.

Our son went to kids club from day 1 and settled in immediately. We got into the swing of things on the 2nd week and we put him in and took him out as and when so he could just play by the pool with his new mates. The evening film club worked well for both him and us, in fact he would have gone every night but we were very aware that if we let him stay up late he would be far too tired for all the activities that were happening the next day.

My husband played social tennis practically every day and our son did both the tennis classes and the junior RYA course, which he enjoyed tremendously. We have a video of him sailing a catamaran standing up using the tiller extension, falling in and without any fuss being rescued by his instructor Will and then just getting back up and steering again. The fact that he was afraid of swimming in the sea before he went on holiday is testament to the waterfront staff who raised his confidence and got him into sailing. Both my husband and I also rekindled our love of sailing, the winds were a bit strong some days and quite a challenge but we had more than enough opportunity to go sailing, windsurfing & kayaking. Next year we will definitely be adding skiing to that list. Oh and you have to try the Crazy sofa thing that they tow from the back of the ski boat. It is such a laugh!

All in all we had an amazing time, the rooms were clean and spacious, the food we thought was excellent and yes the Taverna serves far too much food. If you throw yourselves into the activities and take advantage of the opportunities this holiday is not expensive.

And that bit about holidaying with so many people …….we met some charming couples and their children and we hope to stay in touch.

This was our first Mark Warner holiday with three children aged 4 to 8. Everything worked for us, rooms were large and clean and the resort was brilliant. Perhaps the best feature was the MW staff, from Sue the manager to all of the beach staff and childcare staff there was a friendly and relaxed air that was geared towards us all having a great time.

This is the holiday to do if you want to rest and relax but you get bored if you spend a week on a sun lounger. My wife and I did an RYA sailing course for 3 mornings and had great fun having never sailed before. The kids also did the same course so amazing when out at sea to see the kids go whizzing past on a little catmaran. We played tennis as well and again the kids had some great coaching from the tennis staff. The resources are fantastic with really good kit available for the range of activities.

For the little ones the childcare is flexible and professional. Our kids popped in and out depending on activities but the MW staff really went out of their way to make sure that the kids when in childcare were in the pools, on the beach sailing, playing tennis, doing all the things that we could do but allowing us time to relax as well without having to entertain them.

Food was good throughout the week and the hotel staff friendly and helpful. We went at the end of August and great weather helped make this our best family holiday yet. If this is the standard of MW then we will definitely go back again.
