The staff at this hotel are what makes it, you can't fault any of them for the service provided. All inclusive is handy for families however the food quality/variation is not the best, if you are looking for quality over quantity then I wouldn't recommend eating at the hotel even if you have paid for all inclusive. As for the drinks, to quote Peter Kay "Rola Cola"

The facilities are clean and well maintained, for this you can't fault them. I wouldn't however expect a hot let alone warm shower.

The staff are without a doubt the gem of this hotel with Mimi and Minas helping every customer.

Great service just a shame it lets itself down with the quality of food and drink.

Just arrived back from a great stay in Rhodes. Il get the negatives out of the way first. The pool area needed to be cleaned and tidied more often and the shower power and temp varied during use. Apart those two things everything else was fantastic. Very friendly staff and definitly went the extra mile for us.

My partner and I stayed 2 weeks 21st May 2014. The staff: fantastic (Mimi & Mines) friendly, approachable, gave great banter - nothing bad to say about them at all. The food - not great at all, there was no variation - breakfast became mundane & we ended up going out for breakfast just to try something different. lunches were the same basic - chips & giros. The giros had minimal meat in it which made us feel that they were feeding us on the cheap. Again, not enough variation or flavour. One meal with chicken did concern us as it was slightly pink, the next day they served thin chicken fillets which were cooked however still pink in colour. We would have liked that being in Greece that there was more traditional meals. We ate out every night for dinner so cannot make any comments on this. The juice is very cheap and takes a few days to get used to the taste - however on hot days I was just happy for something cold! The beer was alright. I did not like that bottled water was not included in All Inclusive.
The mini market takes advantage of its location as being very over priced (€15 for an inflatable ring!)
The maids were great, there every day, towels changed, bedding made/changed - room was very clean. The shower was always cold - not always refreshing but just cold! As the shower is in a bath, this gets very slippy - I would have liked an anti slip mat for safety.
Where the views you can get are great due to location - Beware of Heart Attack Hill! It is a beast - certainly climbing it during the day, at night when cooler is fine! My calfs are certainly stronger now!
Overall, where we did enjoy our holiday but will not be staying here again. The All Inclusive great for families and certainly get what you pay for with being a cheap holiday.

Thanks to the family and staff who worked so hard, and still have a long season ahead. Go five star and wast money with indifferent staff or go here! Was going next year, but cant wait, so see you all september. Special thanks to moschoula for driving us to see friends outside the village, and my daily hug!

From arrival after midnight , weary but looking forward to our holiday what a lovely surprise to be greeted warmly by Nik the barman who we had met some years before at another hotel on the island. After a catch up and a couple of drinks we asked for a couple of bottles of water to take back to our room and he called young Nikos who opened the hotel shop for us - what service! We found this from everyone at the Rodos Star throughout our holiday, nothing was too much trouble and what lovely genuine people who made us feel part of their 'family'.
The hotel is a good 3 Star, we had a lovely room, the food was excellent, lovely pool and really nice restaurants and bars, I have to say though that the staff and management are definately 5 STAR!!
We hope to return as soon as we can we have always loved Greece and now Rodos Star we love you too x

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room on the upper floor and found 317 just what we wanted

Had no idea where wanted 2 holiday this year and read many reviews of different destinations, the rodos star had mixed reviews but seemed just what i was looking for, 'AND I WAS RIGHT' I read some reviews and saw some negative pics, those people would be better spending there money on some serious therapy? Anyway, truth is, hotel is Amazing, food great, Its not really a hotel after the 1st day Its a very close community and everyone knows eachother, so friendly not like the huge hotels and no one knows whose who, quite a refreshing change. Never wanted 2 return 2 the same place ever until now and will be back at rodos star nxt year. Moschoyla , yes thats how Its properly spelt as i asked? Thank you my sister. Tasos and the rest my extended family now. And a great Big thankyou to the gang who wrote the reviews that got me to pick rodos star. Will ever be in your debt. Overall, great Holiday, cant wait 2go back. Loved it.

I can find nothing negative to write about this holiday hotel, from the moment of arrival we were met first by Nik the barman who remembered us from Kalithea 9 years ago. The owners son Nokos then came to chat with us and even though it was midnight he opened the hotel shop to get some bottled water. The food and service is excellent and the staff, Nikos, Mosh, Mimi, Minaz, Tassos, Nik the younger and the cleaning ladies were all one big happy familly. If you want excellent quality standards in Greece this is the place to go. My brother and his wife have booked for September 14th on our advice and we will be back next year with a party of seven.
Thank you to all of you for a wonderfull holiday and we will see yopu next year.
