“Stay for the service and the view, BOTH, breathtaking”

Staying in Capri is expensive, but if you're going to do it, you should do it with pizzaz. This hotel has it and THEN some. Perched above the island of capri, in the small city of anacapri, it might be difficult to get to, but the hotel provides timed "shuttle" service to get you to and from the port.
This hotel is a walk away from Anacapri, which gives you access to some cute stores, sights, and cafes. But if you want to get to the port, get to know the bus map or get ready to shell out for taxi's. But who stays at this hotel for anything but enjoying the view and taking in the epic cliff panoramas??
The morning breakfasts are decadent and perfect, the infinity pool to DIE for, and you can walk past the gym to the edge of the cliffs to enjoy even MORE breathtaking views. They offer open-air spa services, but we didn't get to indulge in them. The Eucalyptus Steam room was amazing, though.

Room Tip: Don't get a room on the bottom floor, it's close to their boilers and kept our room floors h...

It's a really easy decision, if you can afford it then this is a really good choice as a place to stay.
The owner is quietly present, the management friendly, approachable and professional. I sensed a genuine wish for guests to be comfortable and a 'be of service' culture.

The location, facilities and views are truly world class. There are compromises when it comes to location of things like the restaurant with a hotel that clings high up to the cliffs but that is hardly a problem when many bedrooms and all public areas have vast panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and other nearby islands.

My wife and I stayed in October when the weather was a little cooler and the crowds were a bit thinner.

This is one of the nicest hotesl I have stayed in and they couldn't do enough to help us out, whether it was calling taxis or recommending places to eat. Fantastic facilities esp being able to lounge around at the pool on the day we checked out and then being able to shower and change before heading to the ferry. Fantastic breakfast buffet, esp if you like chocolate, but beware of ordering boild eggs as extra's as they cost around 20 euros for two!!

We were recommended this hotel by a friend and decided to splurge out and give it ago. And it more than exceeded our expectations. We loved its location in Anacapri, especially as we could wander out of the hotel, into the village for lunch. And let's be honest the hotel prices are steep, but you can get a reasonably priced lunch outside.

Go into Capri town in the evening, but check out the bus - a couple of euros at most and better value than the taxi. They will also 'stop to order' at the end of the night. Another must do, is to walk up to the of the mountain and then get the cable car down.

The infinity pool is wonderful and so too are the sunsets, so make sure you have your camera ready. The piano bar is also very lively at the end of the night, unlike some hotels, which can be quite soulless, all said and done.

One problem we encountered was that we couldn't get through to the hotel for the pick up car. So we sat in a bar at the port and racked up at £30 bar bill for 4 beers! (not wittingly). Still, it makes a good story. In the end, we got a lift with another hotel car.

We would go back to the hotel like a shot and it's probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It's truly beautiful.

My husband and I stayed at the Ceasar Augustus during our honeymoon. We both agree: it is our favorite hotel in the world! Out only regret is that we didn't stay longer! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and smiling faces. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of Persecco because of our newlywed status, as well as one of the most breathtaking views outside our window. Aside from a large and comfortable room, the hotel itself is beautiful and cozy. However, the best part of the Ceasar Augustus is the restaurant downstairs. Don't leave the hotel without eating there! The food is pricey for the portions, but every bite was amazing. The staff was charming and sweet, and the food is far from the usual fare you find in the touristy spots. (Ask for Pino!) And all their herbs and veggies are grown right on the hotel grounds! If I ever have the opprotunity to return to Italy, I will definitely return to the Ceasar Augstus.

We went to Capri at the end of September. The weather was great. Capri is a small island very cute. The hotel was perfect. Its walking distance to Anacapri and just 10 minutes by car or bus to Capri. From the first moment the stuff was so helpful and friendly. We felt like home. The view of the hotel is great. Especially sunsets are amazing. Rooms are great. We had a very nice sea view. Room service is great. Breakfast is good. Pool was nice. We didn't have chance for massage but the lady was really busy. Everything was amazing. If you let them know they have shuttle service and they pick you up from the main harbor. To my opinion this is the only hotel to stay in Capri.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are sea view. If you really want to enjoy your stay don't stay in garden view...

Visited Sorrento in June and spotted this hotel in a brochure. Decided I had to go there, so booked it as a surprise for my partner. From the moment we arrived it was outstanding. We had our room upgraded. The staff were so helpful, welcoming drink and then a guided tour of the property. The infinity pool was out of this world. We even braved the cold to swim as it was rather bracing when you first get in, but then the steam room afterwards was a real treat.
Nothing can beat the views, the staff, the room. Can't wait to return.

My only bad review was the evening meal, very overpriced for average food.
