We just stayed one night and would have stayed longer if we didn't have reservations in Amalfi. Not only is this a beautiful, affordable and perfectly relaxing hotel the customer service is top notch. Upon arrival we were met at the harbor by the owner and taken to the hotel. I have been to Italy many times and stayed at various establishments and I would say the Al Mulino has become one of my favorite places to stay. The family that runs the hotel are so genuine and inviting that you feel like you have known them for years.

What a beautiful family run establishment. Antonietta and her daughters are great and the hotel is lovely. Quiet, secluded, but only a 15 minute walk to downtown Anacapri and a short bus trip to the Blue Grotto. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the service impeccable. The room was spotless and very affordable for Capri. Make sure you try the homemade lemon marmalade they serve at breakfast ! We well be back !

We stayed 2 nights at Al Mulino in Sept 2011. Juan and the rest of the staff (family) at the hotel were so accomadating. They helped us get from the Naples train station to the hotel with little stress or effort. The room was beautiful as well as the rest of the property. Juan took the time to give us directions around town and help us plan out our short stay. It was so nice to have someone truely care about how much we enjoyed our time on Capri! We would deffinately stay there again and reccomend this place to others without hesitation!

Room Tip: Room 5 was lovely, can hear neighbors next to you though through thin walls.

We traveled here with our 20 yr old daughter on a weekend getaway. We arrived in the port of Capri and caught a bus to Anacapri. I called and the hotel came to pick us up from the bus stop in Anacapri, tho we could have transferred to another bus that would have taken us closer. Nice, because its a fairly good walk down to the hotel. It is set in a quiet residential area, with just a few rooms. The garden is well kept and very quiet. Perfect for relaxing after a chaotic day in busy Capri. The breakfast was okay, just a few choices. The recommendations for dinner was perfect, with the restaurant coming to pick us up directly from the hotel (and return us afterwards). It was easy to get to the Blue Grotto by bus, just a few euro per person, or back up to Anacapri. The buses run every 20 mins, so never a long wait. The room was very clean, and cool, and there was a screen door to keep out mosquitos. The bed was typically firm, towels were nice and fluffy, the pillows were just okay...we could have used more! Water pressure was good, shower was a nice size, tho not large. The only thing we thought might be missing was a swimming pool to lounge in!

We recently returned from an 11 night tripto Ischia,Positano, and Capri. I used trip advisor for the Capri hotel selection and chose the Mulino Hotel. It was everything people wrote about and more. There were four of us traveling including my 21 year old son and 16 year old daughter. Finding a family room in Italy is challenging to say the least. Our stay at The Mulino Hotel was charming and spacious. Our room had a queen bed and two twins. The hotel is new with lovely tilework, furniture, and pottery throughout. The ac and sat tv work great. The gardens and groves of lemons, limes, peaches, olives and figs are vast and there are flowers everywhere. The family that own and work this hotel are hardworking and wonderful. They go out of their way to accommodate guests. Antoinetta picked us up at the ferry upon arrival and gave us a tour enroute to the hotel. While visiting we met her mother-in-law, parents, and two daughters Simone and Mariana. We were treated more like family friends than hotel guests. We were given rides into town, to dinner, and Simone and her boyfriend drove us to the ferry for departure. The breakfast consisted of freshly baked cakes such as lemon pound cake, orange cake, pear tart, and stuffed crepes, fresh fruit and fruit juices, bread, butter, jams, and cappucino, coffee and tea. Even my dieting daughter couldn't resist. We wanted a special restaurant for the last night and Antoinetta spent considerable time researching where we should go. She showed me the choices on the internet and then made the reservations and had the restaurant pick us up. IL Gelsomina was set up on a mountain with a stylish pool and the most interesting menu and delicious food of our trip. My son had an early morning flight and Antoinetta arranged for a driver to pick him up at 6am. She had one of her hardworking employees, Juan, get up to make sure the taxi arrived. Antionetta was invaluable both for her recommendations
on sightseeing, restaurants, shopping and for her genuinely warm personality. I felt as if we were staying with family friends. The Mulino Hotel is a well run family hotel. They are the people of Italy that I will remember!

Room Tip: All rooms have a private terrace overlooking the groves and gardens with table and chairs.

I had a very good experience staying in this hotel. It is very nice and quiet. The rooms are very clean, very well decorated, very spacious. The garden is beautiful, which is great to relax. I would highlight among everything the excellent service. I even forgot some clothes in my room, and the owner gently send it to me to my home in Spain. The only thing to take into account is that it takes about 15min walking to the center of Anacapri, so you need to be somewhat fit for the walk up the hill. However, that makes it one of the strengths because its very quiet, and also, you are half-way to Grotta Azzurra, a must see in Capri. One day we were late for dinner and the owner gave us a ride with his own car to Anacapri center, so they were very helpful all the time. If I go to Capri Island again, I will stay here without doubt.

We spent 4 nights at Al Mulino and we want to thank Antonietta and Simona for making us feel part of their family. We spent a delightful hour in the superb garden with the grandparents and although neither of us could speak the other couple`s language we managed to happily communicate. Al Mulino is an easy 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Anacapri. It is a magnificent 45 minute walk to the Blue Grotto but a bus ride is recommended for the uphill return. Al Mulino is a beautiful escape from the bustle of Capri Town.
