Once again within minutes of arriving (by the excellent limo service Adrian organised) we were on our beautiful terrace with lunch & a glass and had completely forgotten the 4AM start back home!
We stayed for a week and had a great time doing not much at all but soaking up the sun, the peace and quiet, and some very fine dinners from Susy!

We've been here at some point in the year for the past 14 years and the magic is still there - calm luxury, beautiful grounds and easy walking from the door for us slow coaches.
The lovely ladies who look after us at breakfast & dinner are great fun and together with Adrian & Susy create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that ticks our boxes everytime!

We stayed for ten days in a double room. Well off the beaten track, quiet apart from the tinkling of sheep bells & the occasional owl, delightful location with views over open country. Everything worked, food was first class, interesting building, spotlessly clean, nice little touches of luxury, staff & owners helpful & friendly (and if there's an award for the cheeriest waitress in the world, Kelly wins hands down!). Its location in the centre of the island, within a few km of road and rail links right across the island, makes it a good base from which to explore; but the local roads are poor & the local drivers are worse, so driving in the locality can be challenging. However, just about every point on the island can be reached within an hour, most in half that. Gripes - really having to dig deep here - toilet seat wasn't quite straight, tv was occasionally temperamental. Would happily go back.

The only problem we experienced was our stay was not long enough! The host and owner Adrain was a true gentleman. The hotel was spotless, the service was wonderful and the food was excellent. Adrain made us feel welcome from our first moment of arrival and was a joy to talk to. The pool was crystal clear and walking the the trails listening to the goat bells and donkeys lowers blood pressure. Can Furios is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the quiet pace. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room tip: All rooms are private with splendid views.

Truly outstanding. For a petit hotel in a rural setting, the amenities are first class. So peaceful and relaxing. Everything from a pool and mini bar to excellent dinner served on a romantic terrace with wines recommended by Adrian which are not only very good but very reasonably priced. I am sitting on our room terrace writing this review, drinking a curveball and looking out over the garden and surrounding countryside.

Stayed in August, couple on realxation holiday, quite difficult to find off the beaten track, parking limited, lovely appearance, room great overlooking a well laid out pool / patio area, no food available on mondays, longish way to supermarket, service at breakfast was average, charged 5 euros extra for cooked breakfast - 2 eggs and 3 pieces of what should have been bacon (tip to you - don;t order the cooked breakfast, tip to hotel, give cooked breakfast option for free). Overall we found it a nice place to stay for a couple of days, but not our cup of tea compared to other similar types of property on the island

Room tip: Relaxing location, but lacked the personal touch

Adrian B, Owner at New Can Furios Hotel by Can Calco Hotels, responded to this reviewResponded 4 March 2017

Having worked in this business for over 45 years , I am looking forward to retirement, my wife and I have run Can Furios for over 15 years and the one thing it is is personal
We provide a continental breakfast consisting of fresh fruit , freshly baked croissant , yogurt, fresh orange juice , jams, marmalade, toast , French bread, rolls, ham , cheese , tea, coffee infusions,
Customers are informed if they would like a cooked breakfast there is a charge of 5 euros
And I go and cook it myself, I also decide to make this charge or not and in these guests case I did not charge them anything extra for the cooked breakfast as we could tell they were not happy
Customers are also informed Monday evening is my and my wife's night off , I think we deserve one night off, guests are informed that there is another restaurant 1 minute walk from our front door so how is that inconvenient , the local supermarket is 1.8 kilometers from the hotel in Caimari so not much of a chore
Sorry about the niggles and that the hotel was not your cup of tea, hope my response is helpful to you
