Headed straight to Juliet’ from the Scillonian, table outside in the sunshine, splendid views over Hugh Town. Crab salad and crayfish and prawn salad washed down with cider. A very pleasant lunch before strolling around the island back to the harbour for the return sailing to Penzance.

Visited Juliet’s Garden several times over last two weeks, tea and cake, drink and evening meal. Staff are extremely efficient and setting idyllic both inside and out! Sunset views too! The chef is so passionate about his cooking (sorry I have forgotten his name) and informed us of his knack of cooking pork belly without the fat! If you come to St Mary’s Juliet’s Garden is a must! Thank you all!

Went for a mid morning refreshment and decided on a pot of tea and a scone. Every table has a wonderful view and the staff are very helpful and friendly. No loud music to spoil the ambience and plenty of tiered seating outside giving the place a feeling of space and airiness. The scone was a little overcooked - the fruit was 'well done' and chewy rather than the plump texture you would experience in N.Yorkshire, but there was plenty of cream and jam to compensate. The sandwiches on another table looked really generous and tasty. Lovely relaxed atmosphere but the terraced nature of the establishment could be difficult for wheelchair users or partially sighted people.

We crossed over from Penzance to St Mary’s & our friends who have visited the Isles of Scilly many t8me took us on a walk around a few bays & beaches before we gently made our way up the hill to Juliet’s Garden.
Well what a pleasant surprise! Terraces with plenty of seating & actually space on a warm summers day; with glorious views overlooking the many bays & St Mary’s harbour.
Like a lot of the restaurants fish & seafood was the predominant menu choice; & we opted for either the crab salad or seafood. Both excellent choices with the most impressive very fresh ingredients.
A long drink to enjoy whilst we waited our orders & just laugh, joke & thoroughly enjoy the views.
Internally the restaurant looked ideal for an evening meal or maybe use on a cooler day.
It’s not cheap, but then nothing is on the Scilly Isles, but certainly good value for money.
Just a pity it was a day trip as dinner could well have been a possibility if we were staying on the Island!
