“Putting up with the in-laws”
Reviewed 1 February 2012

Anne kindly put up with (I mean put up!) my parents, aunty & uncle, and godparents for our wedding in September 2011. Although all are around the 60 yrs old mark, I understand that they behaved like children, messing about at breakfast (giving Uncle Bobby just one baked bean!) and locking doors when there was no need to! Anne and Chris took it all in good spirits and joined in with the fun, which was lovely! For me, it was important that my parents liked St Marys (thinking babysitters for future dive trips!) and Anne did me very proud as they have all said that they want to come back! Thank you!! We went to StMarys to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and found a Golden B+B. Anne and Chris both made us so relaxed here it was as if you were staying with friends, lovely rooms and cracking breakfast, cannot wait to return.

My partner & I spent a short break in the Scillies & were lucky enough to stay at Pelistry. Very welcoming, lovely room, plenty of hot water & fluffy towels. Excellent breakfast selection & nothing is too much trouble. Anne & her family made our stay a joy & (if/when) we go back to the Scillies would absolutely stay there again without hesistation. Easy to find & a very convenient location. Anne's local knowledge as a native Scillonian is also a real plus (restaurants, places to visit etc.). Cannot reccomend too highly.

Room Tip: We had the room at the front which was lovely.

We've just returned from a really good week's holiday in the Scillies which was definitely enhanced by our stay with Chris and Anne. Our friends had stayed here before and were full of praise for the hospitality and comfort supplied at Pelistry Cottage and we were not disappointed. Chris cooked us great breakfasts, supplied to order, and Anne was a charming, informative and entertaining hostess (she should be on the telly!), The cottage is comfortable, very central, and quite frankly we couldn't fault anything. We highly recommend Pelistry Cottage. Fully deserves 5 stars.

We booked this via this site's recommendations, and for once got it totally right. It is probably in the best location on the island, ideally situated for everything, but still quiet. Well appointed rooms, very comfy bed, great breakfast, real personal attention to detail. Anne went out of her way to make sure everything was OK for me and my mum, she was welcoming and helpful; she's created a very relaxed informal atmosphere that suited the Scillies perfectly. HIGHLY recommend. Five stars.

We stayed at Pelistry Cottage back in June 2011 and had a wonderfull time on these beautiful islands.
From the minute we arrived at Pelistry Cottage we were made very welcome by the owners,
Chris and Anne, who showed us to our room and briefed us on how to order breakfast , what bwas going on with boat trips, walks, restaurants etc...
Breakfast was a delight, plenty of it and cooked perfectly by Chris and set us up for the day.
Anne who serves breakfast and does front of house is lovely, Anne helped us with suggestions that we might like to do for that day.
The room was of a good size very clean with all you'd expect from a good b&b.
We will be returning to Pelistry Cottage next year and without a doubt in the future too.
Thank you for a wonderful and trully memorable stay.

Room Tip: all the rooms are lovely

We stayed here for 4 nights in the summer, for our honeymoon, and found it to be just perfect! As others have said, the location is superb, and Anne is the perfect hostess. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our room, which was clean and bright, and Anne had even bought us a little wedding present of the best fudge I have ever tasted (and I've tasted a lot!).
The breakfasts were great, we didn't need lunch most days! Anne was on hand each morning to give us advice on the best way to spend the day, depending on the weather, and to have a chat about what we'd been up to the day before.
What I particularly liked was that although Anne is obviously a chatty, sociable person, she wasn't too in our face. She got it just right as far as I'm concerned!
