Agree with all the other reviews, this is a beautiful place with gracious hosts! The breakfast was delicious and even though we only booked half an hour before we arrived there was fresh cake for afternoon tea.

Room Tip: There is no fitness centre or swimming pool but you don't need them.( couldn't undo the star...

We enjoyed two nights at CasaBelle last week to break the drive from Newcastle to the Sunshine Coast. This was our second visit as we enjoyed our last stay so much and again Fritz and Susannah didn't disappoint. The rooms and common areas are very well appointed and luscious and all the little touches were beautiful. We'll be back.

My husband and I stayed at Casabelle in May. Everything about it was absolutely outstanding.

Now as we run accommodation elsewhere in Australia ourselves, (with a 5 out of 5 rating on TA), I think we are pretty good judges and fairly knowledgeable about how to do it right or wrong. (We didn't mention this to our hosts, as we find it tends to get in the way of just sitting back.)

The owners at Casabelle have the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. We truly felt welcome and it is obvious that they love their work. After checking in, we were spoiled with a freshly made prune cake and tea, served in a gorgeous tea-set. This we enjoyed in the lovely living area, reserved exclusively for guests, with 2 wood fires, soft music, selection of lovely books and magazines.

Our room was stunning. Beautifully and tastefully furnished, with interesting artefacts from around the world, which all added to the Mediterranean ambience. And lamps! How I love them and how they add to the atmosphere. So many people don't realize this and guests are stuck with harsh downlights (as in the next place we stayed). I have added some photos of our room.

If I thought the lamps were lovely, I really got a wonderful surprise on going out to dinner to see the courtyard corridor lined with candles. Stunning.

Breakfast was the best we have ever had in our travels throughout the world. I enjoyed the fluffy light ricotta hotcakes, (which left Bills for dead!), while my husband raved about his cooked Farmer's breakfast with a twist. Everything homemade and fresh, and served by the wonderful Fritz with his witty sense of humour.

These owners deserve every accolade they get. Congratulations Fritz and Suzanne - job well done! It doesn't get any better.

Just completed our 3rd visit for 3 nights at this fantastic Tuscan retreat on top of a beautiful hilltop just outside Bellingen. Suzanne and Fritz are excellent hosts, very giving, easy to get along with, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding community as well as providing their International flair to the whole experience. Their commitment to great customer service is evident immediately on arrival, tea and cakes (Suzanne just "whips them up" - so good!) and the chance to come down at your own speed after any journey, before heading into town for a great range of dining options, then returning to a log fire in the living room for a glass of port and relaxing music on the box. The next day you wake to an amazing breakfast (5 different mains, 3 beautiful yoghurts, organic coffee grown in Byron Bay) and the attentive but relaxed service by Fritz, and you are set for the day...if you get up from the breakfast table before late morning!! The 3 rooms are all different, but have everything you need to come down in comfort. Lemons, Limes and Guava trees are grown on the large and secluded property and several country walks are easily accessed from the property (through various fence gates, wooded areas and rural quiet). We will continue to return to this great hideaway, and the other guests we met at breakfast have all felt the same...amazed at the find!

Room Tip: The middle bedroom has the king bed and shower only...the other two have spas in-room. Suggest you...

We stayed at Casabelle for only 2 nights, and I wish we had booked longer. The building is beautiful, inside and out. The furnishings suit the design perfectly. Our bedroom was large and had views out over the garden (well 7 acres is more than a garden where we come from), and was clean and well maintained. The communal lounge area is stunning, with open fires for the chilly evenings. Sue & Fritz are warm, welcoming and fun. Fritz and his cheeky sense of humour kept us entertained. They lay on afternoon tea with delicious cake which was most welcome after a days sightseeing and walking through the rainforest (in the rain). We took recommendation from Sue on both nights for places to eat in Bellingen and they were spot on. Stay here, it's very special.

After nearly eight weeks touring in a small tent it was time for a bit of pampering. Casabelle looked great in the brochure but rather pricey, however it was well worth it. Fritz & Suzanne were kind & friendly, the homemade cakes were great & the port was amazing. A large choice is available for breakfast and then you can wander the large grounds looking for the various wildlife. (The green tree frogs are especially cute) Great views can be seen from the property which is up a private track. Other people in hospitality could learn much from these hosts.

Found this B&B through Trip Advisor
Everything that was said about the property was so true. We felt so welcomed after a long drive to get there. Afternoon tea in the courtyard was amazing as was breakfast. I consider myself a bit of a foodie and I couldnt fault one thing.
The decor was just perfect and the beds extremely comfortable!
Service was 5 star and the lovely hosts waved and hugged us goodbye.
Will definately return whenever driving from the Central Coast to Queensland in the future.
Good job!
