Loved this park with it's plethora of unique species and variety of habitats. Beware that you'll need to wash you're vehicle down to help avoid dieback. While we were there (Nov 11) major roadworks were underway, and these are likely to hamper access for some time to come, so check before travelling there.

This park has the most unique, wierd and wonderful wild flowers we've ever seen! The coastline at Point Anne is gorgeous! The access is via a long unpaved road, but it is wide, well maintained and mostly flat, so easily done with a two wheeled drive vehicle. Well worth the time and effort to get there.

Be aware . . . there is road construction and so not all access roads may be open. Watch for information signs!

We were really looking forward to the drive through Fitzgerald River National Park from both the Hopetoun and Bremer Bay ends. Arrived at both locations to find that access to the park was severely restricted or closed. We could only drive in as far as East Mt Barren from Hopetoun, and could not gain access to Point Ann from the southern end of the park. Being the whale watching season, it would have been appropriate for the park roads to be open at this time of the year. Lack of access was very disappointing, and poorly advised until arriving at the park. Not good for tourism.
