It is just what it says on the box. Which is great for work travel, when you just want to get your head down somewhere clean and quiet. Rooms are big enough, beds comfy and everything works.
I only stayed one night so can't comment on food.

Stayed at the Collie Ridge Motel for 4 weeks and found the staff to be very friendly and courteous at all times. The unit was clean, tidy and well presented. The spa bath was great! Having a four burner hob, full sized fridge, microwave and full oven made my business stay much easier. Overall the complex was very quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a spa bath

Wonderfully clean and only 10mins walk to town. The newest hotel in Collie with lots of room for parking and a great restaurant attached. Had a wonderful meal, a credit to the chef! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back.

This was a good but fairly standard hotel, very clean and in good location on the edge of Collie, withinin about five minutes walks of shops, etc. We ate dinner at the restaruant and it was excellent. I asked if I could have one of the vegetarian mains as an entre and another vego main as a main and there was no problem at all, the chef cooking up two wonderful dishes that I would have had trouble fighting my way through if they had not been so good. Good brekky. Helpful staff. All good.

This was a modern, spotlessly clean motel, conveniently with a restaurant attached. Unfortunately the internet was "down" so unable to use it.

Stayed in July 2011 in a room with self contained kitchen and spa for business. The hotel is only a few years old and has new appointments and modern fixtures. The bathroom and bedroom were huge. The bathroom and spa are very new and clean. The kitchen fixtures were new and what you'd expect. The whole room and grounds were very well maintained and clean. There is also a nice barbecue area with barbecues and eating areas which were fun to use. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is about 1-2 kilometres from the main town site and you can walk into town. The town does have some old buildings, pubs, hotels with interesting architecture. The town's economy I would believe is still arranged around coal mining.

You can also see Gnomesville located about 10 kilometres from town (it would have to be the world's largest public collection of gnomes, all set up in interesting themes and arrangements). There are also some wineries and breweries around the town to seek.

The Collie Ridge would have to be the newest and best appointed accommodation choice in Collie.
