Most of the service is amazing. The waiter we had and the manager were welcoming, warm and lovely. The waitstaff are Italian, and it is like being welcomed into a big Italian family dinner. We were originally sat inside but they asked if we wanted to move outside when a table became available. There was also no waiting for anything - service was quick, friendly and good.
However, I did overhear another table's waitress refuse to give them table service for ice cream after their main meal. They were told to stand and order by the (unmanned) gelato counter by their waitress. Other servers took their customers' ice cream orders.
The meal was rounded off with complimentary port which was a lovely Italian touch.
The not so good:
My partner and I ordered the smoked meat (veal and pork ribs). The portions are huge, but it's just really average. My pork ribs were the largest ribs I have ever seen, but they were really dry. My partner's veal ribs were just really fatty. The highlight was the coleslaw. I normally hate coleslaw but this stuff was fresh and light. Lovely.
So, I would avoid the BBQfather stuff - and stick to classic Italian food for a good experience.
