“You have to come really!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

This is the famous spot on this stretch of coast, so its the busiest beach you'll see.

Still, plenty of room for all! I've seen a fair range of fish (up to reef sharks) on the drift snorkel here, and it is worth doing, but then I'll retreat to a more secretive section of the Cape Range coastline.

For example, watch sunset from the top of the dune opposite Yardie Homestead. Take a snorkel at the quieter Lakeside, go to the snorkel site at Pilgramunna then walk 10 minutes along the beach to the most glorious piece of protected turquoise water wrapped by a small spit of sand.

Take a day to snorkel and swim but check with the park office first to see what the sea conditions are like before you make the trip.

The drift loop is much better to snorkel in, but the bay area is beautful and great swimming. Beautiful turquoise water just like the pictures!
