So after deciding not to pay $650 at somewhere else I booked one night here to be followed by two nights at the other place ! Although there were only two of us we booked a two bedroom plus lounge unit at Potshot to gain the extra space. It was $259 for the one night.

I have no idea how this place continues to have a three star rating. As well as having bare interior walls made of exposed bricks, the rooms are very tired and the bathroom smelt of bleach which was probably covering other smells.

But the main pool and seating near the pool area at the adjoining hotel pub section was pretty good.

The location is also very good – a short stroll into the shops and supermarket so you don’t feel as isolated as most accommodation places in Exmouth.

If I was back in town by myself I would take a smaller and cheaper room and use the pool courtyard seating and be satisfied.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment during our for day stay in Exmouth. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had the usual amenities of fridge, microwave, hot top, kettle, toaster and TV. The bed were comfortable and bathroom large. Outdoor table and chairs overlooked a communal grassed area and we had a private has BBQ.

This was cheaper than other options in Exmouth and meet our needs of having somewhere comfortable to crash at night and to be able to prepare our own breakfast in the mornings.

The extra 20 or so dollars to stay in the new section over the road would have been worth it had we of known we'd get no sleep for the Friday and Saturday night we stayed there. The noise from the pub nearby was incredibly loud.
Staff were friendly though and bed was relatively comfy. Overpriced, but so is everything in exmouth so that was to be expected.

Room Tip: Pay the little bit extra and go for the new villa style rooms across the road. You might get a decent nights sleep and they are possibly nicer on the inside too.

We stayed in a twin budget room for our stay. The room backed onto the communal area meaning we were kept awake until 3am every morning by the shouting and music coming from the area. Probably a fun place for backpackers but don't even think about staying here if you plan on being asleep before midnight. Ive stayed at plenty of backpackers (both in private and dorm rooms) throughout Australia and this was easily the dirtiest and loudest (from the room) I've been to. We also had 3 cockroaches scurrying through the room in the evenings and huge lines of mould growing in the shower.. but it was cheap so I guess that's the trade off...

Stayed here for 2 days in a 8 bed dorm with ensuite. Rooms and bath are clean. You can even use the pool even if you stay in a dorm. They have a nice restaurant and pub. Walking distance to the small downtown shopping area. Notice they have a Chinese restaurant downtown. They have a bottle shop on site and prices are good. Check out time is 9.30AM which may inconvenient some travellers. Would recommend to stay here.
