This is a very average motel - hardly a resort and for the price charged one would expect it to be five star - it certainly wasn't. Clean yes, but very ordinary and just somewhere to lay your head at the end of the day - and at the ---- end of the continent! One tip, if your not into spending up big on your evening meal, a purple van parks opposite the car parking area and beer garden of the hotel about 5.30pm each evening for several hours and is well worth a try. Exmouth is a long, long drive -from anywhere and from our point of view, not worth the effort. The Western Australia Tourist Commission spends a fortune on promoting the State and when the local operators dont co-operate, it is a total waste of resources. We drove up to specifically do a combination tour of Cape Range National Park - on a day (and there only 3 a week) which it was due to be run - only to find that for the two of us, it wasn't worth them running it - at $200 each, mind you!! So over rated and grossly over priced and with facilities at a bare minimum, is it any wonder that visitors are flocking to Bali and giving the West a miss. Cannot recommend.

Room Tip: Your on your own for this one!

When selecting accommodation as always you get to see photo's of what they want you to see. We were in a reasonably old 2 bedroom apartment with two small children that had a microwave at the same level as my two year old and not even a couch for them to sit and watch television. The television had about 70% of it's channels not working including ABC4 kids which really does help parents to keep them at bay. The ensuite bathroom had old tiles and half of the towel hooks had broken off the walls so nowhere to hang wet towels but the one rack. When we look for resorts we do have our expectations like washing machines but again they had a laundry area which cost extra. The cost for this was the same price we paid for a great resort in Broome that was twice the size and had washing machine, drier and dishwasher. But they said the pricing was as to the RAC 3 star accommodation rating. Which I seriously doubt. We will be trying elsewhere next time.

Me an my girlfriend stayed here last year. We arrived in Exmouth not having booked any accomodation and stayed in the first place we could find. We managed to score an apartment and after a nap, struggled down to the bar. There were people from all over the world here and we quickly made friends with a Swedish couple who we went snorkelling with the next day. If you're looking for five-star accommodation, this is not the place, but if you're wanting a quick beer and a chat, I would recommend it!

Stayed here for a week in October this year in a dormitory. Was school holidays so expected it to be busy but only shared our dorm with 2 others. Housekeeping came in everyday - something I have never seen at a backpackers! Kitchen was clean - you had your own dishes and cutlery which really aided the cleanliness of the place, something I think all hostels should do! Slightly expensive ($33 p.p .p.night) but cheapest backpackers in exmouth. Would recommend!

We stayed there for only one night, last September, and I can't understand how could we forget to write a review about such a horrible place that doesn't deserve to be a YHA member. Furthermore, it doesn't deserve to be considered a place to rest or stay during a trip. It is the worst place we have stayed in for all our life.

We got a room in the hostel, in a place that remembered the road motels of the American films. The room was disgusting, and the bathroom was even worse. The air conditioned machine was very old, dirty and so noisy that you had to choose between sleeping or dying baked. In addition, it was next to the common cooking place where it seemed to have taken place the Exmouth Beer Fest, as a mass of young drunk people spent the night shouting in front of our window. The common kitchen was dirty and lack of the essential utensiles useful for basic cooking.

In conclusion, the best of this hostel is the moment you leave it, believe us, AVOID IT!

Room Tip: Run away from it
