We stayed in a one bedroom beach bungalow and the room was stunning – very high end luxury. The bathroom was enormous and had a two person spa bath, separate large shower enclosure, lots of white fluffy towels, toiletries, bath robe and slippers. The room comes with a safe, fridge, kettle, iron and ironing board. Our terrace had a table with two chairs and a sunbed overlooking the beach. Inside our room, we also had a large comfy sofa to relax on, but we had mixed feelings about the bed, but more personal preference than an issue with the quality. Free wifi available in the hotel lobby, which you could enjoy with a beautiful setting overlooking the water feature and swimming pool. The West Coast of Australia is not cheap and for this amount of luxury, you certainly pay for it!

I only got to stay here one night with business, but the rooms and facilities were very luxurious and modern. The spa and bathroom setup is fantastic and the rooms have a very generous deck/balcony overlooking the pool and the beach.

I will be staying here again for sure!

We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool and the beach. You can watch the sunrise over the beach - beautiful. Our room was clean and well laid out with a very comfy bed. We stayed four nights but as we went on snorkel and scuba diving trips we didn't use the facilities at the resort. Had dinner in the restaurant one night, although the food was ok we thought it was expensive and the wine list was overpriced. There was a laundry next to our room which was handy, a clothes horse is provided in the room. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

Room Tip: Choose an upstairs room overlooking the beach.

Great location on the beach. Rooms are very modern and well equipped. Shortage of power outlets to charge up phone and ipad. Stayed in bungalow and had to boil the kettle in the bathroom. Friendly reception staff at both check in and check out. Had breakfast one morning and good selection of food.
Have stayed here loads of times over the last 7 years and have never been disappointed.
You do need a car to get around the cape but doesn't really matter. Can walk along the beach into town in less than an hour and often walked in to Exmouth for dinner.
Definitely worth the extra cost for a bit of luxury in the north west.

Room Tip: The rooms on the beach front are great but watch out for sand flies if you sit out side.

The Novotel Ningaloo Resort is amazing. When you first walk through to reception you are greeted with amazing views of the pool and the ocean. Really sets the theme of this resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor. There were great views. There is only one toilet and bathroom. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning. The continental breakfast is $21 and the hot breakfast is $28 which I think is pretty responsible for up north. In the afternoon we had a cocktail by the pool which was very relaxing and the staff come and collect your orders. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel and highly recommend it.

After 2 weeks bush camping it was time to enjoy hot running water. The room was large and well equipped. The staff were professional and always polite. Being a 40min walk from town and only having a shuttle available during daylight hours meant that eating out for dinner was not really an option which was sad as many locals had suggested a few places with exceptional food.

Biggest gripe is that like almost everything else in WA it no longer offers value for money, a "special deal" at $400 per night still made for very expensive stay in Exmouth. Everywhere you look along the coast businesses are for sale and I have been told again and again how tourists are no longer coming. Well price yourself out of business certainly seems to be the order of the day in WA

The Hotel is easy to find on the drive into Exmouth as there’s a huge (but fading) sign just before the turn off. Check-in was easy and first impressions of our ground floor 2 bedroom apartment located close to the pool were very favourable. It was very spacious and fully equipped with all modern facilities including dishwasher and a full size fridge thoughtfully filled with ready chilled glasses and water plus extra bottles of water in the rooms. The terrace had a full size table to seat six plus a lounger. Fresh pool towels are provided daily.

The bathroom is very well equipped with good lighting and a spa bath, lots of towels, complimentary toiletries and slippers but the concertina panelled doors separating both the main bedroom from the bathroom and the lounge area is a bad idea and doesn’t work of four adults sharing this apartment.

We chose to dine in the hotel on our first of four nights there. Service was good, the food average. We didn’t return. A problem with the connection on our TV was swiftly fixed but trying to get comfortable to watch it on the bizarrely designed sofa proved impossible.

The real horror occurred when I turned down the bed cover mid to late evening. It was clear the under sheet had not been changed since the previous guest. Whilst this was rectified quickly – by a very helpful and understanding member of the dining staff who I asked if she agreed with me on the state of the bedding – she readily agreed. This is the kind of error I regard as unforgivable, and made worse by the lack of apology from the Hotel management.

It’s also let down by other smaller quality control issues. I ordered a daily paper knowing it arrives a day late but when I went to ask for it at reception I was greeted with a ‘oh, it doesn’t seem to be here anymore’. It was however delivered to the room the following day. The hotel grounds look unfinished – the gardens around the pool area lack plants and trees to give it some atmosphere although the water lily pool is beautiful.

Overall, the design of the 2 bedroom apartment is simply all wrong for 4 adults and the choice of sofa was made by someone with no concept of comfort, so choose your room carefully. Having said all that, this Novotel probably offers more than any alternative in Exmouth and its remoteness from the rest of WA inevitably means nothing is cheap but the various issues we encountered suggests complacency. It needs to improve.
