“Another wonderful peaceful break”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

My wife and I stayed 4 night recently in a one bedroom apartment. We had stayed here before a few years ago and thought the place may have "aged" a little BUT we need not have worried. The Seashells is a perfect place for a peaceful secluded break in the wonderful town of Yallingup. Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to some excellent wineries and restaurants. Highly recommended and we will be back again (hopefully sooner)

Room Tip: In ground floors you can hear people moving around above but very minor issue considering everything...

Dear EastVicPark,

It is lovely to read that you didn’t feel the property had aged. We continue to work on the property to ensure it's at the highest standard possible – for example we recently replaced all soft furnishings in the apartments and continue to make small upgrades throughout the year. Thank you for taking the time to write your review and we hope to see you in the hotel again soon.

Myself and my girlfriend enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was superb, extremely spacious, well equiped and modern. King bed, spa bath, and fabulous scenery from the balcony, what more could you ask for on a weekend escape. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and drinks and dinner in the nearby Caves House. Seashells is very well located, close to the beach and winerys. Would definately stay here again!

Big room, great location, everything you could want, including colourful birds on the balcony. Loved it. This is the perfect place to stay in a wonderful part of Western Australia. The rooms were clean, well appointed and quiet.

Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, however the wooden floors are very noisy if someone is in the room above you (3 level building). The complex is also next to a hotel garden area which is noisy in the evenings which means you can't leave the balcony doors open in the evenings if you want any sleep.

Check in was a bit of the challenge, reception person was busy making phone calls for someone in the foyer that had a mobile in their hand, rather than ask if they minded waiting whilst they checked in the guests waiting. It seemed more important to phone whoever when the person waiting had said that if the reception gave them the numbers , they would make the calls. Going the "extra mile" is nice if needed, but making others wait for about 10 - 15 minutes whilst hanging on the phone when it was not needed is a bit much.

As nice as the surrounding area is, would not stay there again

Room Tip: if staying in the suites, try to get a rom on the top floor

Dear John,

Thank you for writing this review. I was disappointed to read you were made to wait so long to check in, and would really appreciate if you could make contact with me either via email (yallingup@seashells.com.au) or phone 08 97501500 as I would like to hear more about the situation with you waiting in the foyer. We have had some phone issues recently that have required staff to use mobile phones, and we have also recently launched our Seashells App and loyalty program (for Android and iPhone.) We have instructed reception staff to offer guests as much assistance as possible with downloading and using the app. However I do agree anyone being made to wait 10-15mins is simply not acceptable, so I do understand your grievance. I also agree that all guests waiting should be attended to before assisting those requiring more lengthy attention.

For most of the year we don’t have issues with noise from the gardens, I am sorry to hear you were affected during your stay. It is disappointing to read you do not plan to stay with us again.

Yours sincerely

Recently enjoyed a lovely couple of nights away at the Seashells Yallingup Resort. It is clean, well appointed, comfortable and extremely convenient to the beach, local wineries and restaurants and Dunsborough, Busselton and Margaret River. The Caves House restaurant is great for a meal and/or drink and everything about the restaurant and accommodation is family friendly. The grounds are lovely, you can take a nice walk to the beach and the little deli adjacent to the Resort makes a great morning coffee!
Would recommend and would visit again

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room which meant we opened to the lawned area which was perfect with children.

Dear Family4Perth,
It is lovely to read you have been able to take advantage of all the location has to offer. Seashells Yallingup is central to all of the Margaret River region wineries and attractions, with the beach only a short walk through the heritage gardens, I must agree it is a great base for a holiday. Thank you for your recommendation, I hope to be able to welcome you back again soon.

Spacious one bedreeom apartment with great facillities such as micro wave, cooker and
washing machine and there were dryers available. Comfortable beds. Some noise from
the nearby bar but that did not stop us sleeping after a day of wine tasting in the
wineries of Margaret River. No pool but the beach is close by.

Room Tip: A room on a higher floor will give you a better view
