“Absolutely visit here again!”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

My friend and I have holidayed in the Dunsborough/Margaret River area loads of times over the last 20 years and this was our first time at the Yallingup Forest Resort. What a fabulous place! The chalet was perfect accommodation, very clean with everything you could need, in a beautiful secluded and peaceful location. Staff are very friendly and helpful - our chalet didn't have a pot big enough to do chilli mussels and although staff couldn't provide us with one, they even offered to pick us one up when they went into Busselton. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip down south!

This is our third stay here in the last 2 years. My husband, 2 young children and myself have stayed here over winter and summer and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
The chalets are clean, tidy and well equipped.
The staff have been very friendly and easy going.
The location is fantastic. Close drive to the beach and to Dunsborough.
We ate very well in local restaurants and cooking in the chalet.
The kids were very well entertained with the local birds and possum hunting at night.
We will definitely be going back for a 4th visit.

A secluded 2 bedroom chalet (4B) in an isolated forest midway between Dunsborough and Yallingup provided a relaxing 5 day break in W.A.'s lovely South-West region. The chalet was spacious, clean and well maintained with everything needed, including a full sized refrigerator and easy access to a laundry, for a comfortable, self contained stay. Wide verandahs on 3 sides provide shade all day and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the visiting bird life. The magpies and kookaburras get 'up close and personal' but several other species flutter in and out of the vegetation. Other facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court, barbecue facilities and a children's playground. The walk trails are clearly defined and not too testing, even for those of advancing years. The location is perfect for accessing Dunsborough, Cape Naturaliste light house and Yallingup, and is a convenient gateway to the Margaret River/Augusta area and beyond. Helpful, friendly advice was readily available, including where to buy the lovely soap provided in the chalet. (Corryne's Soaps, Commonage Rd, Dunsborough)
A lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: 4B was close to facilities and didn't have passing traffic from other chalets

Nice property located in the bush. Great facilities, accomadation clean, spacious and all the mod cons. Kids loved the wrap around verandah. Located close to Dunsborough & Yallingup, heaps to do. Wine, Beer, Great Food, sun, surf, icecream (Simmo's, Try the coconut flavour). Will be staying here again for sure.

We had the pleasure of staying in chalet 6b over the Christmas period and had a wonderful time. The chalets are spacious and well appointed with shared access to a laundry (handy if you don't want to come back with a suitcase fully of dirty clothes) Set amongst mature trees the chalet we stayed in was very close to the pool and tennis court, handy for keeping an eye on the kids. There's even a BBQ area where you can cook and eat al fresco - we used it a lot. The resort is managed by Cathy and James who were always on hand to help and made us feel at home.

Room Tip: Get down to the Bush Shack Brewery, just a short walk from reception. Also the 'Fire Bread'...

What a lovely place to stay set amongst the trees. The accommodation was really spacious, clean and very well appointed with everything you need for self catering. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The resort has a micro brewery just down the road which sold an interesting variety of beers, a great place to spend a relaxing hour or two. The Resort is in a great location just a short drive from most places. Just one thing, the possums are so tame, it takes a lot to shoo them off the verandah!!!!!

Love this accommodation. Very peaceful and quiet. Nice being in amongst the trees and wildlife. Close to beaches, endless wineries and restaurants. Managers good to deal with. Have been 3 times at different times of year, winter and summer, always love it. Properties very clean, well set up.
