We went down for a wedding luckily we got this accommodation nice spot rooms were quite dated but still good the only thing we didn't like about it was the old unfumfy bed worst sleep both have bad backs. I don't think it would be very fun to bring kids to this location my kids would have been very board no play ground or pool beach was quite rough.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a top floor room for privacy & view of ocean

Superficially, the rooms are dated, poorly finished and don't have a lot of style. Once you move beyond that, you have a wonderful time. The front presentation is quite ordinary and my first thought was "why don't we have an apartment at the front overlooking Smiths Beach".
Once we had settle in the side and back apartment, we realised we had view of both directions and it was absolutely wonderful.
Smiths Beach itself is an easy beach to swim in and for anyone who loves birdlife, the activity next to our apartment kept my wife focussed for hours - even the kangaroos near our balcony were a treat.
The supplies are limited and there is no service for short stays so it is sensible to bring supplies of your own soaps, shampoo etc.
The bed is not the best for sleeping - very low and a very ordinary mattress

Room Tip: Upstairs better and probably rooms 7 or 13

We stayed here for some much needed relaxing and were not disappointed. The rooms are clean and comfortable and are self contained so you can bring your own food etc.
The location is right on Smiths Beach and there are beautiful walk-tracks along the coast where if you're lucky you can see dolphins or even whales.
The other thing is that the resort is positioned at the end of a no-through road which means it is very quiet and its so nice to only hear nature and the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. It is also not fat from the Margaret River wine region so all the great wineries are very close as are many of the regions restaurants.

Room Tip: If you're a couple the second floor apartments are great otherwise choose the ground floor apartments where kids can run outside in your

It was wet and drizzly but a weekend away from Perth was needed. It was a great opportunity to get the camera out and get some great shots of both Smiths Beach and Canal Rocks, just down the road.

Although the décor was .................... All you needed was in the unit and the view was spectacular albeit our unit was at the rear. Price wise ... very reasonable and would go back again

Loved waking up to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach.

We booked an ocean view 3bedroom apartment on the ground floor (#5) which was a lot more spacious than we imagined. We only have 3 nights down here, but this is the kind of place you could easily make your home away from home for 1-2 weeks. It has all that you need and literally walk across the road and you are on a beautiful beach.

As we travel overseas often, the only downside for us was the cost. We nearly spent more on 3 nights accommodation in Smiths Beach, than we did for a weeks accommodation in midtown Manhattan! Ouch.
