We just had 3 nights at COA. It was wonderful, every part of it. From the magnificent chalet with its heated floors in the bathroom, the double shower, the furniture, the fittings and Foxtel and loads of movies to choose from. We had the breakfast and meal up package, which not only was there heaps for our stay, the food was delish!!
I do have to laugh at people making any negative comments about COA, as its a total luxury package for a reasonable price tag. And for those who commented on checkout and room being serviced, all I can say is read the chalet instructions....it tells you everything you need to know. Tho if I do have to pick a downside, well it would be definately we had to leave, but seriously, the only faults I could pick, was I didn't know how to use the stovetop and there wasn't any instructions for it, but i worked it out eventually.
The lack of blinds I thought was great. I even didn't think about it when I jumped into the spa, until the hubby said "close the blinds". It was quite isolated and chances of anyone seeing you are pretty slim. I really enjoyed the openness and uninterrupted views from each room.
We didn't meet Jody, but we did email before the trip and she was great in regards to us having to change our dates.
All in all we loved our stay at COA and will definately be back, it was a great relaxing experience.

We arrived easily to Chandeliers with the full directions provided prior to our arrival. Once we arrived it was a little hard to find someone to check in with, but we eventually tracked Glenn down and Jody gave us our key.
We were stunned as we drove up the hill by the gorgeous view. We were in Chalet 2 - a Forest Retreat. We unlocked our chalet door to be greated by a view of the valley below. The entire South side of the chalet is glass, affording a beautiful view of the fauna and flora.
We skipped through the entire property, checking out the huge spa (perfect size for two!) with view of the valley, twin shower heads, the bedroom (again with a valley view) and the huge deck where we could recline with a cold drink. The dining area was a part of the lounge and it was set with fresh flowers and napery - in readiness for our private chef Greg to dine us in the evening.
The private chef service was magnificent by Greg, not only was the food superb and fresh, we got to watch him make it and he provided brilliant conversation.
In all we stayed for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. The entire time we stayed we didn't see another soul, and it was blissful not to have to deal with a maid service or any other interuption. Thank you Glenn and Jody for providing this gorgeous retreat.
Chandeliers was only 10 minutes from Dunsborough, giving us the chance to play golf, plus go diving on the HMAS Swan. We visited the chocolate and cheese factories only 15 minutes away.

We spent 4 nights of our 2 week holiday in the Margaret River region at the ‘plunge pool’ villa on the ‘Chandeliers on Abbey’ property.

The spacious villa was beautifully decorated with quality fittings and the best spa bath we had ever seen.

However, our experience was tarnished by a few issues we experienced during our stay. Firstly the villa was not serviced once in four nights. Secondly, the function venue on the property is within hearing distance of the villa and were we woken one morning at 7:30am to loud music which continued to play until 8pm that evening. We complained to management and received no apology or offer to turn the music down. Thirdly, no one was present at reception when we went to check out at 10:00am. We, along with another party proceeded to wait for 10 minutes before calling the mobile number provided by management. We received a rude response over the telephone and decided to leave the keys with the other party rather than wait for management to arrive at reception as we were so fed up with the poor service.

It's going to be very hard for me to fault Chandeliers as it's now a very special place for us both. My husband and I chose to stay here for 2 nights prior to our wedding (we eloped), the wedding night and 3 nights afterwards.

Whilst I booked through the Margaret River Tourist Bureau I had been in contact with our host, several times by email and was absolutely thrilled by how quickly she replied and how helpful she was. It really helped take the stress out of planning a wedding long-distance. This also extends to her husband, who once we arrived, went far and beyond the call of duty to track down a rolling pin for me when my wedding cake got damaged on the trip and needed an icing patch job. Nothing was too much trouble including squeezing a room service in whilst we were briefly out at lunch so everything looked brand spanking new when the photographers turned up on the Wedding day. We even got fresh bread!

There are 3 retreats at Chandeliers. We were in retreat #3. The photos on their official website do not do it justice. One of the coolest things was opening the door to find a plate glass window directly in front of us that looked out over the paddock. It was like the place was hollow!

Turn to the left from the entry way and we had a huge lounge/kitchen/dining with a big flatscreen tv, Foxtel, DVD, surround sound etc. the comfiest couch ever. My husband is 6'4" and he fit on it when stretched out. Yay!! There's a split system aircon/heater and fluffy throws to chuck on the couch when it's a bit chilly in the morning. The kitchen was great. Everything you could possibly need (except the rolling pin haha). The dishdrawer is great! I want one. There is a big window looking out over the paddock.

The bedroom is great too. Another tv, huge chandelier (we had a very modern spindly one), huge kingsize bed with heaps of pillows and cushions. Extremely comfortable.

The bathroom was fabulous! The heated floors are a great idea because the marble is freezing in the middle of the night without it. There are 2 fabulous overhead showers and another one you can adjust the height on or use it handheld. The hydrotherapy spa is fabulous. Very relaxing when you turn it up high. A little smaller than it looks in the photos...we had hoped it'd fit Hubby. It's probably about 1.5m square but it was still really enjoyable.

I will agree with another reviewer that it might be nice to have blinds added to the large windows in the lounge, wardrobe and entry way. The reason being wasn't for privacy (we barely saw a soul the whole time we were there) but that getting ready for our wedding and being on our honeymoon, we would've liked to have slept in a lot later. One advantage of waking with the light though was the wildlife. We're both Aussies yet we have never seen so many kangaroos in our life!

The grounds (June's Garden) are absolutely gorgeous. We got married underneath the trees on the deck at sunset and had our photos taken in the Art Barn and around the garden. Our photographers loved being able to work with so many props (the barn has a white baby grand amongst other things). There is a big driveway that loops right around the property and the property is bounded by a vineyard on one side and the national park on the other. Everything was perfect.

This was a fabulous base for exploring the top end of the Margaret River Wine Region. We were around the corner from Amberley, Down the road from Wills Domain (Great Platters!) and very close to some fabulous restaurants, Canal Rocks, Ngilgi cave etc.

Will we be back to Chandeliers? Without a doubt. I hope to return for our first anniversary (hopefully much-much sooner).

The accommodation is plush and luxurious.
The chandelier in the bedroom is impressive. The bathroom is very well appointed and the heated floors were a blessing. The spa bath is huge, and the double rain water showers -glorious.
The view is stunning and even more enjoyable when you can listen to music in every room, including outside on the deck. Loved the surround sound.

Supplies were plentiful and our pre-ordered hampers were divine. They lasted us for the 4 days that we were at Chandeliers. Freshly baked bread came with compliments from the owners and it was a treat to have it in the chalet. Our plunge pool was warm even though it was winter.

It’s very well located and not too far from Dundborough. Chandeliers was also close to our favourite wineries. All in all this was a fantastic place to stay with big windows all along the front of the chalet ensuring that you have a view from every room. Now, this may not bother many people but when night time came, there were no blinds and left us feeling quite exposed. It’s the fact that you cant see out but people can see in, even through the small roller blind in the bathroom.

Personally, for me, this was perfect in every way except that there were no blinds or curtains. There was a curtain in the bedroom but the side window panels were open and one could still see through to the bedroom. It did spoil our stay a little as we felt uncomfortable as soon as nightfall came. If you don’t mind the lack of privacy in this regard you will love it here. Would I go back? Yes, yes yes, yes IF there were blinds or curtains on the windows.

We booked a 'romantic retreat' for 3 nights and stayed in one of the three expensive, yet well-appointed chalets. However the service by the owners during our entire stay was terrible. The chalet was meant to be serviced, which didn't happen at all during our stay. Then after we discovered that the lights weren't working in the bedroom, plus we had run out of basic supplies (provided as part of the package) we spoke to the owners who advised this was no problem and they would fix it that day. However none of the problems were ever fixed - they made no attempt at all! And to add insult to injury, upon check-out we couldn't find anyone to give the key to or to pay the balance owing. Thus we left the key with a message to call us (so we could arrange final payment) however no-one ever called us. Instead they billed our credit card direct (aithout authority!) Such a shame as the location is lovely and the chalets are really nice, but for $500 per night you expect just a little bit of service.

We are disappointed to learn of this review as we strive to provide a very high level of unobtrusive service, however would like to qualify a few points.
With regard to the light in the bedroom, we had a power surge in the area which caused the entire fitting to fuse. We attempted to fix the light however had to reorder a new fitiing (chandelier) from the Eastern States which could not be delivered and installed for several days.
With regard to servicing we offer a full service every 3 days and this is outlined in the room compendium and on our website and guests are invited to call and request a suitable time for housekeeping to visit.
Lastly and most importantly Chandeliers on Abbey has a maximum rack rate of $350 for this particular Retreat - not the $500 as stated. The package that was provided was $1000 for 3 NIGHTS including breakfast provisions, wine and chocolates.

A peaceful and stylish retreat in natural bush/pasture surroundings. We loved our few days at Chandeliers on Abbey and could certainly recommend it. There are three retreats in all, totally separate from one another. We didn't hear or see another person for the three days we were there! The bathroom was lovely... marble from floor to ceiling, double showers, big double spa. The retreat had big windows overlooking pasture and forest. The place only opened last year, so it's nice and new and there's been great attention to detail. Everything you need is there, but with no clutter. Classy and clean (something we are fussy about)! Our retreat was serviced by a huge rainwater tank....bliss!
