Not cheap but it is worth every dollar. Personal service, great food, top class facilities and close to many wineries.
Can't recommend highly enough.

Absolutely fantastic small, intimate boutique hotel. Very welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble. Well kitted-out bedrooms, all with private patios. Amazing DVD library and mini movie lounge! Wonderful lounge bar and large outside area where breakfast is served. (big enough to keep you going all day!) Tea/coffee/muffins; port and chocs on tap all day, if you get the munchies! Amazing swimming pool - a decent size for once, so you can have a serious work-out! Beautiful grounds and fab walk to the beach. Great location to explore that area; check out Bunker Bay (great cafe there for brekkie / lunch and Eagle Bay Micro Brewery is on the way) , Yallingup and Smith's Beaches (great surf). Loads of wineries and Olive farms (Olio Bello is a must) along with the obligatory jewellery and art galleries. Best eateries for dinner: Relish (just along the road) and The Cape Wine Bar in Dunsborough and The Studio in Yallingup for lunch. If you want to unwind and relax, then Windmills Break is it - look no further!

We booked this hotel based on the reviews and were not dissapointed. The beautiful gardens surrounding the property are really well maintained and nice to wander through. The actual hotel itself is really stunning and it was like staying at someones house, such was the high level of personalised service.
Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order and the free port and chocolates throughout the day was a nice touch. There was also an extensive DVD collection that you could borrow at any stage free of charge.
All in all we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All the rooms are amazing!!

Great location for Margaret River wineries/galleries and lovely retreat for our 2nd anniversary. We had a personalised tour from the new Manager which far exceeded our expectations. He is very approachable and helped recommend nice restaurants nearby. Breakky was delicious! Rooms are large and clean with leafy surrounds. Cosy atmosphere in the cooler months sitting in front of the fire with a glass of Margaret River red purchased that day and in-house cheese platter. If the temperature was a bit warmer a swim in the impressive pool would have been a definite. Will definitely visit again if we head back to WA!

It has been 15 months since my wife and I last visited this great hotel and it is even better now than I remember it...and it was fantastic last time. Olivia - at the front of house - really spoiled us and owner Geoff remembered me from last time - not just my name but my hobbies and sporting interests too - amazing and personable guy. He even gave us some tips for our time in the region - including the day we went to the races in nearby Bunbury!

It is just fantastice to sit in the manicured garden by the pool at Windmills Break at the end of hot WA day with a cooling breeze and a cold beer and the hospitality that this truly 5 star establishment has to offer. Thanks Windmills

This hotel is not cheap but is great for that special treat . We choose this based on reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. We stayed for 4 nights and it was a good base to explore Margaret River.
The owner and the staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The grounds on the hotel are great and very relaxing to walk around, sit in the lounge area or by the pool. We found the room a delight (we had a premier spa room) - though not as sound proof as we would have liked. Furnished beautifully.
We mentioned to the owner on leaving the following 2 comments we had about the hotel -
1. the sheets are polycotton(50/50) - and very rough. I think this must be in the laundering as we had the same make of sheets later in our stay in perth - and they were very soft.
2. it would be nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room or in the lounge area.

The lounge area is lovely - with free port, tea, instant coffee, fruit, muffins all day . The dvd collection is amazing - and can be accessed by guests free of charge.

Breakfast is wonderful - though better quality orange juice/freshly squeezed would be an improvement.

The free wifi worked perfectly, though sometimes mobile phone coverage by Optus and Vodafone dropped out. There was also a hotel laptop for free use by guests in the lounge area.

We would thoroughly recommend this for a stay in Margaret River.

(We also recommend visiting the following wineries - Windance, Will's Domain. Graylyn.)

Well appointed small boutique hotel. The staff were very professional and friendly. Lots of lovely touches to make the stay very comfortable and special. Set in pretty grounds, with a pleasant walking/jogging track. Good facilities.
