At Bushland Park Lodge & Retreat, The Luxury Lodge on the Coromandel Peninsula, we are recommending all our clients to book a trip with Justin of Ocean Leopard’s Tours to experience the stunning peninsula from the seaside. Not only does he offer our clients pick up at Ferry Landing, i.e. saving them an hour’s drive back and forth, but his expansive knowledge of the geological and local history of the coastline together with the perfectly positioned stops for taking photos makes this activity a standout winner in our discerning clients itinerary together with the added option of snorkeling in the Hahei marine reserve! Thank you Justin, keep up the fantastic entertainment.

What a trip! Justin you gave us a fab afternoon - weather was lovely, there was a swell yet we saw all the sights from your very stable, roomy and comfortable boat. I enjoyed your local knowledge both of the geographical and local history of the land and coastline. Being able to swim with the fish with the snorkel gear all provided was a highlight, especially for a south islander when swimming had long finished. Seeing the Cathedral Cove, Champagne Rock and sea cave from the water was very special. It was a trip of great value and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend this to one and all.

Hi Merryll, Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour and I have to say good on you for getting in the water so late in the season! All the best and I hope to see you both again next time you are visiting the Coromandel.

Spent this afternoon on the Ocean Leopard, so much to see and learn right here on the doorstep of Whitianga. Great commentary and boat skills! I highly recommend this two hour trip to both visitors and locals. Not only do you get an understanding of the geographical history, you see some spectacular scenery up close. A brilliant afternoon, cheers Justin

I had the outrageous good fortune to have Ocean Leopard Tours recommended as a must do while visiting the Coromandel. Luckily the temperamental May weather held out and we enjoyed calm waters and sunshine. Our tour guide Justin went to great efforts to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable not to mention well informed as he filled us in on local history, geography and geology throughout the trip. It was such a thrill to see the coastline from the water and begin to understand what forces were at work to create such amazing formations as Cathedral Cove. The boat felt very secure and I didn't suffer a moment of sea sickness, attributable to both the craft itself and Justin's expert manoeuvrability on the water. I can't recommend this trip enough, whether you're travelling alone, as a couple or in a group you won't be disappointed. 5 stars! Thanks Justin!
