A group of friends and I had lunch here a day or two after The French Fig opened in December 2013. We all enjoyed our choices, which were Eggs Benedict with portobello Mushrooms, herbed potato rosti & spinach with hollandaise sauce; Fig and walnut bread with banana, ricotta and honey; and French omelettes with a choice of accompaniements. It's a small café and with our very hot summer I'm pleased we chose to eat al fresco because inside the cafe was just too hot for comfort. A couple of standing fans would have cooled things considerably. I hope management have fixed this, either with fans or by installing air conditioning.
Our group will eat here again because the food is delicious and the staff are friendly. It was our 'silly season' and a tough time to open a new café, but they did very well.
